People really can't miss out on this masterpiece. I know they've letdown a lof of PS3 owners out there and many of these are talking crap about Valve and the Half-life series in return, but the fact of the matter is that they're still missing out on the best FPS franchise ever.

I'm fortunate to own both a 360 and PS3, but I feel sorry for the PS3 folks missing out on this wonderfull experience.

Red Faction is a series on the PS2 that was one of the first games to introduce semi-destructible environments (like you can blow holes in the ground) . . . aside from that, nothing from the games were outstanding (TimeSplitters is a much better series for the PS2) . . .

yeah, groundbreaking in a sense that u could break some walls next to doors so u could go to another room because the door was locked.
red faction can't even touch half-life 1, not even talking about 2 and it's sequels. and yeah, timesplitters was at least fun, can't really say the same about red faction.

The episodes are meant to complete the story arc started in Half-Life 2 without being an entirely new chapter. They are extensions of the longer game.

Half-Life 3 will probably be set somewhere completely different with new characters and struggles.

Gordon Freeman is synonymous with Half-Life, like how James Bond is synonymous with 007.

Sorry for not making it clear. I meant that Gordon will be transported somewhere new, most likely by the Gman, where he will become part of a new conflict. Half-Life is not Half-Life without our favorite mute scientist.

If it's anything like Orange Box then yes. I thought Gabe(I love this guy!) said that they didn't give to sh*tz about the POS3 and they didn't even want to release EP3 on the POS3? Now it looks like they are, which hopefully won't mean we will be poisoned by the PS3 dev cycle and it causes major technical problems and delays so we don't see the game until 2010. Hopefully they just dump it off on EA so they can deal with that developement hell and come out with the product $ony and it's fans deserve like Orange Box.

Either way these games are designed for PC/360 Architecture the 360 is the way to go.

and I figured since it was in the PS3 channel that it was semi believed it was coming to the PS3. Otherwise I thought someone would report the story that it shouldn't be in the PS3 channel.. Oh wait, I forgot where I was for a second.

I hope you are right, just keep that PS3 poison away from the 360 developers. I want the game within this century and want it to run great like Orange Box did on the PC/360.

I was a super PC fanboy then my ass got lazy and remembered what it was like to play Sega and Nintendo on couch. Besides I'm pretty good with a controller, with a mouse I could pop anything with a head shot over and over, but my movment was always restricted do to the keyboard. With controller you sacrifice some of that fine aim but in return you get great mobility, like jump, crouch, and dodge. Weapon switching and reloading are pretty much the same on both because it's just a tap. I have played Shadowrun on PC and you should know I play it in 360 and it's realy like that. On PC I can take a rifle or a sniper rifle and own, but console gamers move like freaking lightning and if they get in close with an SMG or shotgun your f++ked. Console owners go out in the open or use glider to rise up get popped by PC users left and right. In the end the good and the bad of both balance themselves out, it's just a matter of comfert and what feels right for you.

The aim in the Orange Box demo is bad, but it isn't in the final retail game. If you think the aiming was bad in that demo, try Far Cry the aim in that game is pure sh!t.
