this is the review of someone who sounds like they haven't played any of the other Metal Gears, and basically does not enjoy the franchise. You get people like that. Why would i want to listen to them? I love the franchise and story, which is exactly why i love MGS4, and watched every cutscene with eager anticipation to how the story would unfold next. Its the game where everything comes together, and if you can't appreciate that, then don't review it! Cos you obviously don't like Metal Gear Solid! Fail

The review was poorly written and really didn't put any words into describing the gameplay. Bah. It was a stupidly composed piece of "criticism." The gameplay in MGS4 is ridiculously fun, therefore it deserves a better score than a measly 60%. And you know what? It'd be nice if some of these whiners could give credit where credit is due for the creativity of the storytellers and the immense awesomeness of the cinematography (how often do you get to use that word when talking about a VIDEOGAME... seriously, these guys deserve at least some credit for their cutscene work, I'm sick of all the b*tching). Most people couldn't dream of undertaking a project like MGS4 and accomplishing the thing with such aplomb.

I've been playing video games for just as long as you have, and I have to say that the game was so good infact that I finished it 2 times since it has come out. The gameplay is great along with everything else in the game. This review is more of a review of games where the object is stealth. Just like some people are not into RPGs the person that reviewed this game is clearly not into stealth games.

If you have played through this game, then theres no way you could give it such a low score. Judging by your comments you sound like the real fanboy here. I don't belive you have even played this game, but I do belive you have played HALO.

That was a rather short review, didn't really justify it much either. And this late? To me it just smells of a site wanting more views.
Example, they mention "
Metal Gear Solid 4 will either have you smiling with glee or wondering why you stumped up a hundred bucks for an elongated, slightly interactive, socio political commentary.", yet they give it a bad score for one thing they didn't like, NO OTHER bad points, despite claiming they wanted to do it unbiasedly? With that they should've atleast gone for a middle score.

When your site needs to work hard to claim any credibility, like a site entitled 'lesbiangamers', you'd think they's try and actually do an in depth review of one of the largest titles this year.

Instead they plainly demonstrate that site for whom their sexual preference seems to have something to do with with their gaming, simply doesn't have the ability to review.

If they had demonstrated that they had had played and understood the game, you might be able to tolerate them trash talking such an extraordinarly good title. But to rubbish such a work of art with a few short paragraphs and put any meat explaining why, shows that these girls have got no idea at all.

I hate to say it, but they've plainly demonstarted they should stick with Wii fit.

1) This site has no credibility - They've reviewed only 3 PS3 games...
Heavenly Sword - 9/10
Uncharted - 9/10
MGS4 - 6/10

Sorry but Heavenly Sword is not better then MGS4 lol...

2) Since there last PS3 game review was back in 2007, they had no choice but to give this game one of the lowest scores yet just so they could get website hits, it's pretty clear that this review/score screams "PLEASE GIVE MY WEBSITE HITS"

3) One month too late with the review...

4) The review didn't mention anything about gameplay elements, so I don't even think they played the game. Sounds like this person just went onto wikipedia, read other reviews, and made a half assed attempt review from that. Or maybe she just went onto youtube and watched gameplay videos of people beating MGS4 from start to finish lol

Ah well, good thing this site isn't on the metacritic, would be an embarrassment

judging by what she says she obviously isnt a fan of the series and she she quotes in almost the exact same words as kojima himself '' this is one for the fans''.

after I read the review and saw that they gave it a 60% that N4G was going to go crazy. And none of you disappointed me. You held true to N4G form that people cannot view MGS4 as bad, and if anyone says anything bad about them, then they have no creditability and are awful. I for one completely agree with there review. Why any of you make it a point that they are less creditable because they are women, or I guess lesbians, is hilarious. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for degrading them because there women, like they are less than any of us "great and almighty men." Grow-up, seriously.

edit: @below. While I like to believe that most are kidding, I believe that most are not. Also, with this stuff about the review being a month late, there are pro-MGS4 reviews on here daily from other sites and no one says anything about them being a month late.

Many of us are just messing around.

I couldn't care less who reviews the game, but I will mess around with whoever gives a game a score it doesn't deserve.

Of course everybody has an opinion, but opinions doesn't necessary have the right to sh*t on something that is good overall. That goes for Games, electronics, cars, movies etc.

If you go against the current, you will have to endure the criticism, just as they expect Kojima to endure theirs towards his game.
