E3: Video: LittleBigPlanet PS3 construction level

Sony Corp. this week demonstrated a full level in LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation 3 at the E3 Media & Business Summit.

In the video, three players side-scroll through a complex construction level that requires each to cooperate. Through a series of complex balance beams and swing-jumps, each player must take advantage of life-like physics to reach the end of the level.

This is the amazing stuff Nintendo should be doing. I can't help but picture Super Mario done with this engine.

Not that absolute fiasco WiiMusic.

The problem is nintendo have lost their way, they have left there roots and found new ones and have no intention of returning to their old ones.

Its a shame really. The creative minds at nintendo aren't being put to the best use's at present

I don't know what you all see in this game. Just looks too kiddish for me. That video didn't impress me at all, but I'll give it a rent when it comes out and see what the hype is all about. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Just my personal opinion...

You don't see the unlimited possibilities? Maybe it's just because I'm in game development so level design is like crack to me, but this is, to me, the most exciting concept to come out of gaming in a very long time.

Level designing is like the ultimate if you're a gamer!

I spent more time designing levels in Timesplitters 2 and 3 for my bro than playing the game (and I played the game a lot lol).

LBP is the most innovative console game this year without a doubt, a game that makes the player make the game. Sounds so simple but the possibilities are endless!

To me it doesn't matter if it looks 'kiddish' or 'childish', it's a game with a special tool for creating stuff and sharing it! How awesome is that!

Can't wait for LBP, I'm going to be broke by Christmas...
