Killzone 2 Public beta coming this year

During a behind closed doors presentation at E3 today, it has been confirmed that the Killzone 2 Public beta will take place this year. Along with this news, Guerilla Games' also confirmed that they will closely monitoring for exploits and vulnerabilities for the Online, which is great news for those who hate having to play agaisnt cheaters.

It's worth $2.99 to get your hands on a portion of the game early. It'll keep me busy for awhile.

They won't make us pay for Home beta though. That's an open beta for EU and US and EU doesn't have Qore.

Its a sony online game so yes it will, Resistance, warhawk etc all use deadicated servers, so its almost a cert that Killzone will have them

Its a public beta, so it will probally be downloadable like the MGO one (for europe anyway)

it will most definitely have dedicated servers...

ever notice how few 360 games have more than 16 players?...every notice how many games on XBL have dedicated servers?...those two variables really like each other...

32 players without dedicated servers is a nightmare for nearly anywhere but South Korea...

The Killzone 2 Public Beta had already been confirmed for this year a few months ago.

But, I Can't wait to put this 4 and a half Cell Processing game into my PS3 and see what my PS3 is truly made of! This is what the PS3 is all about!

with KZ2 graphics and physics is FPS GAMING at it's finest.
IMO only resistance2 comes close to this game in terms of console FPS
Farcry2 - maybe, i bet it's still 16 players online only :(
name another console FPS better than this that is coming out within a year.

I WANT MY SOCOM BETA! I paid 3 dollars for the june edition of Quore, and I want my beta! It's my beta and I need it now! Socom withdraws suck :(.

By public beta do they mean an open beta?

If so then it'll be like what happened with MGO in Europe, a straight-forward download and play. Usually though betas increase in numbers and don't start out with millions of people lol, I would have expected a closed beta first (For example, a month or so before, included for the Qore subscribers ;P ) then opening out to the rest slightly later with a download available via the PSStore (Like MGO)

We can't get Qore in Europe, so it'd be unfair to have a Beta signup via that, unless stage 1 is a US beta since then it's completely understandable, with stage 2 being an international open beta.
