They seem to think Co-op will be added just after the release of the game via DLC.

This jumps out at me for a reason, not that I'm worried co-op may not be there straight out of the box but more that I wonder where all the development time is going, 5 years and they havent managed to get round to co-op yet? Either the visuals/presentation took a long time to achieve or everything else offered (single player, Multiplayer) are huge.

Personally, I see 4 player coming, your (from what we've seen) always within a squad of AI, that alone lends itself weel to easy co-op options. They can handle 32 player online so resources obviously arent a problem either.

Mind you, I'm not 100% on the site/source. So I'm not going to put much weight in it, hopefully someone like IGN get some info up soon. Or even GG online.

I think GG really did they're homework this time. They know what FPS fans want. And they aren't making any of the same mistakes as Killzone 1. So I think co-op is a must. Probably not 4 player co-op though, but definitely 2 player co-op. Also considering that there will always be that 1 supporting character that follows sev throughout the whole game.

As far as graphics, they've already proven they're worth on that front.

As for online, it looks interesting if they can somehow manage to "copy" COD4's perk system but mold it into they're own unique system with the whole Badges thing. It could be a hit.

Pretty much everything is looking positive for Killzone 2. They're final test would obviously be in the hands of the consumers to see if they truely delivered or not.

1.2 - I think that
Killzone 2 has been held back so they can learn more about the secrets of the Ps3. Every dev studio that learns a new trick probably puts the idea into the Killzone pool. LOL just think, a huge Ps3 development manual and every top dev nsomniac, Naughty Dog, ect. putting in their ideas(kinda like National Treasure Book of Secrets)

They already have that, Sony have an internal forum for developers such as the ones you listed (GG, NG, insomniac etc) to share their secrets and new tech.

That's the joys of first party developers (insomniac just like to share :)). I imagine the KZ2 engine is one that the PS3 will use time and time again. Making it less reliant on the UE3.

Im excited about Multi-player. Co-op would be cool but if not included it wouldn't kill me.

Well Co-op isn't a huge loss for me as long as the Multiplayer is good. People will still make a huge deal about this anyways. Lets just all remember that COD4 was able to get by without Co-op

2.1 - But COD4 was multiplatform
Killzone 2 is going to be held under a 1000x microscope, if a strand of hair is out of place, people are going to tear it to shreds, sadly :<

3 - I hope this game has split screen co-op.
Its very important to me and sometimes a deciding feature as to whether I purchase a game or not. But if Killzone 2 provides a long compelling single player I may just get it anyway.

4 - what did they mean when they said: "KZ 2 is near completion and won't have co-op if scea has anything to do about it?
they throw that comment out there and don't explain themselves?

4.1 - It means they want the game out in FEB '09 and not later..
Can you imagine the uproar of a delay?

i want it out in FEB too, they should just make co-op a download like they did in Liberation. a free one of course, as long as they can get the main game out asap

Well i don't mind either way, Bioshock didn't have Co-op (hell, it didn't have ANY multiplayer) But it was an excellent game. I trust these devs as I liked Killzone on the PS2 and LOVED Killzone on the PSP.

The thing is, I really want to have fun with this game (and Resistance 2) so I haven't bought an fps's since COD4 as i was beginning to get burnt out by them. That way these two fps will seem really fresh lol

Sorry article is faaaar to vague, and just sounds unreliable and unprofessional. its 2 paragraphs of maybe this and sort of that. I'd wait for a better multiplayer report. For me when they said "the game is nearly finished" done it for me, its got 8 months of dev time left!

8 - This post is bogus
This post does not detail all of the modes, it actually doesn't detail any. It doesn't specify what we know from G4 (32 players, classes etc), it actually says "Other Standard Modes" which doesn't explain anything about them. It doesn't detail what the modes they even mentioned. Furthermore, there is no source.

Sounds pretty bogus to me. I'll wait for some legit details on Killzone 2 Multi-player.
