They own the intellectual property. They decided to let EA pimp the game on the PS3. They collected money from EA for it. Why shouldn't they be held responsible? BTW your Konami analogy makes no sense. There is a big difference between not releasing a game on another platform and releasing a game, collecting money from customers, then washing your hands of it and refusing to fix it.

I actually like Gabe Newell and like Portal and TF2 quite alot (even though i don't think much of HL2). I just wish they would support their product a little more even though EA did do the port to Ps3 can't they assist them a little bit? Is that really too much to ask for? I don't think so, it's not even like the fix would probably be that major just get rid of a few annoying things. Hell i'd just settle for a announcement that we'll be getting the new maps and character updates. But them not saying one word about the Ps3 version like it was never even produced is kind of messed up.

my konami makes a lot f sense konami had a hell of alot of people working on making a game engine designed solely to run on the PS3 the same as valve did with the source engine which is pc based and could easily be converted to the 360 so why blame valve for saying to EA they don't want anything to do with the PS3 version as it would mean hire a whole new load of staff to remake an engine not design for the PS3.

EA made it because EA were being a greedy publisher how can valve update it when they don't have the code or don't any programmers with ps£ experience or access to the EA servers that TF2 runs on.

i dont hate valve, but they should be blamed. they gave the code to EA to port onto the PS3, EA at the time didnt know Jack S**t on how to code for the PS3 (evidence is there people, Madden 08 is an example). why didnt they gave to code to Sega or to Konami? im pretty sure these alternatives would of worked better since they know more on Developing on PS3 than EA. EA just got the wakeup call when Criterion Showed that the best way to have both versions of a game on equal footing, is to develop on PS3 first then port the code to the 360, which meant a better 360 game as well.

This all goes back to that PS3 Ram article stating the difference between PS3's Ram architecture and the 360's ram architecture. Everyone knows its difficult to build on PS3 first. if you are thinking about making a multi-plaform game, work on the Hardest system to code for first. its been stated time after time after time again.

EA screwed the OB owners...not Valve. but gabe's fat and Valve's lazy. anything against the black lil box it's "hate hate hate!"

MGS 4 could be done on the 360 but not without completely rewriting the engine would you trust EA to do that would you blame konami for EA F-in it up if they did because konami didn't want to do it, or wanted to focus there team on a new zoe or MGS 5

I don't think ever dude. Valve doesn't like the PS3. All those petitions and they cant even make it playable. They are focused on 360 and PC seeing as its easier to dev on. Its a great game to. What a shame
