EA Deleting Accounts Due To Piracy?

Hearing recent news from friends and forums it seems people using pirated versions of the game are not only getting banned from playing this game but EA are resetting peoples accounts.

There is just as much piracy on the PS3. Just visit any torrent site and do a search.

Yeah, you're real informed. Tell me the last time you heard about people burning PS3 games? NEVER. It is right now IMPOSSIBLE to download and burn PS3 games. There are a few PS3 games online but you can't do jack with them. So, yeah. I'd love to see where there's any PS3 piracy.... at all.... please know what you're talking about before you comment.

If you can find and download a ps3 game it´s probably a virus or fake since the ps3 is not cracked...

Little do people know. PS3 not cracked? I wonder what people are buying downtown then? I am in South Korea and to say that the PS3 is not cracked will get you a chuckle from the people that have their systems modded here.

haha hilarous, so people who download the gold edition but never bought the original and use the "backup" to go online are okay(at least as long as MS doesn't detect, if MS can't detect, EA can't either) but people who bought the original but downloaded the gold edition for weapons are screwed. Very Funny. Then there is a third class of people who are idiots: those who download and play both the gold and the normal editions.

3 - Piracy...
Bad for the PC, good for consoles. I hear many developers now making games or have games in development for the consoles due to the tougher restrictions and less ease of pirating the copies. I have to say, I for one hate pirates and think they should all burn but I have to admit, if it brings developers to the consoles then by all means, keep it up.

3.1 - this article was talking about piracy on the 360 not PC
piracy is only good for older consoles in developing countries. As otherwise the hardware wouldn't even be sold in those countries. For anything else its almost always bad.

@ SL1M DADDY you clearly didn't bother to read the story. If you had you would have read this "Also this is being reported for the 360 version only so far so my personal view is the piracy issue holds more ground than the borrowed issue." See where it says "ONLY FOR 360 version". Now don't you look like a silly billy for your comment.

What they should be doing is taking care of the f-cking lag! Multiplayer is unplayable on the PS3 version.

best way to stop piracy is to make a game worth paying for

unfortunately bad company is not such a game

-extra advantageous items just because you pay more than the already costly price for a special edition that isn't special

-campaign where you have to sit through the same "open the case and nod at gold inside" animation over and over again

-numerous technical flaws and glitches in an unfulfilling campaign

-even more numerous technical flaws throughout multiplayer on both platforms

-boring multiplayer for a game thats main focus has almost always been multiplayer

feel free to add to this list, i decided not to buy this after the whole boycott fiasco and after playing it at a friends house i'm more than happy to save my $70...normally it would be 60 but EA likes to shaft consumers on every game they touch
