Rock Band 2 Tracks Leaked

MTV Games has let the cat out of the bag. No song titles or new acts were mentioned during yesterday's confirmation that Rock Band 2 would be hitting store shelves for the Xbox 360 in September, but TV network G4's X-Play gaming show inadvertently showed a song list in its coverage.

Why do they add mostly "modern" songs which are garbage? Why not guns and roses, AC-DC, megadeth, europe, twisted sister, red hot chilli peppers, etcetera? They should release entire albums instead of one song from each album. I only like two of those songs, so I do not think it is worth it. Hell they should release one SKU for each band there is, more money for them and better for gamers; well maybe it is not practical, so there should be the chance to sell the game without songs, only "Song credits" for those that play online. That way you can make your own roster of songs instead of playing the ones the "geniuses" at MTV chose for you. The library of albums is weak anyway, I cant wait to see how the libraries for each music game will look 5 years from now.

Because the game is aimed at a younger audience, so why wouldn't they add modern songs? And theres nothing wrong with modern bands and some are actually better than some of the classic rock bands(ie SOAD).

1.3 - I just miss
Kiss, Queen, Aerosmith, the Doors... you know, the good "old" Rock and not the new mix of hip-hop and heavy metal that pretty much thrashed music. Hell, the beatles, elvis, jimmy hendrix and even sinatra would also be nice, at least nicer than new age EMO crap. Considering how many soccer moms, middle aged men and grandparents are playing games nowadays, it would not be a bad idea to release those songs in karaoke, piano, jazz and what not.

All the best music is made in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I bought rock band thinking they would give out better punk DLC, but i was wrong. No Misfits from the early 80's? WTF!

Just to point out, what you find weak, other find strong? Anyways basically there is no way to make everyone happy when it comes to these types of games, the best they can do is try to appeal to as wide a range of people as possible.

Also you really should not call any kind of music "crap." I happen to hate AC-DC, but that does not make them crap.

Agree with the SOAD and damn Rock Band 2 seems to be steping up its game, but why the hell would you make it timed exclusive? This is where EA and Harmonix went wrong, shame on you.

5 - They should get Def Leppard in there.
I would say get everything from "On Through The Night" up untill "Hysteria" by Def Leppard would be great for Rock Band 2.
