Insomniac not 'currently' adding trophies to Ratchet or Resistance

Joystiq writes: After it was announced that Uncharted and, well, "every game" for the PS3 will receive Trophies, many expected Insomniac's two titles would be on the shortlist of receiving updates in the "foreseeable future." Sadly, Insomniac's Bryan Intihar expresses on the PlayStation Blog that Ratchet and Clank Future and Resistance: Fall of Man aren't getting Trophy updates soon.

would anyone have it the other way? i'd much rather have R2 be a AAA game than trophies for the first one.

You are correct.. Reason why Imsoniac is not getting the same treatment as IW is because they are a first party developer so if PS3 fans call them lazy that would also mean Sony is lazy! And of course Sony is always delivering innovative products FIRST like in game XMB, a trophy system, custom soundtracks, cross game messaging something their competitors don't have!! They also always hit their deadlines like with Home, White Knight Story, Killzone 2 etc.. Sony is the BEST!

Yeah because making one guy there work through his coffee break in order to implement a trophy system in one or two of their games is really gunna make Resistance 2 crap. You guys would just eat up any old **** burger line somebody makes up.

Same with Resistance, but it's not a huge studio so they might not have people to spare with production on R2 in full swing. I'm sure they'll get around to it soon. Maybe if that new Ratchet product is an add-on it will come with trophy support.

Aslong as they are making a new R&C game or R&C addon content, when they arn't adding trophies for R&C then that is acceptable.

PS3 could really use more Ratchet & Clank titles - PS2 x5, PSP x2, PS3 x1....title

Considering they are a dev team that pushes themselves to put out top quality games every year & they are comparatively small compared to other studios & they usually have their next game in pre-production at the same time, plus there also opening a new studio I think we can cut them some slack.

After R2 they might be able to set aside a few programmers to add trophies, I'm finishing ratchet now, awesome game.

If anyone can make some amazing trophies it'll be Insomniac. Let them concentrate on making Resistance 2 as incredible as possible and the trophies will make there way to us in due time.

I really don't care if there isn't going to be trophies for Resistance because it's a launch title, but I wouldn't mind trophies for Rachet.

But, like several other people have stated, Resistance 2 is the number 1 priority. I can wait on trophies for other older Insomniac games, but they can get out Resistance 2 first and then work on trophies. Insomniac has to put everything they have into Resistance 2 if they are going to go head-to-head with Gears 2 in November and there can't be anything holding them back.

Hopefully they get around to it when they've got some time. I'm glad they've got their priorities straight. R2's development is a lot more important to me than trophies in R1 and R&C, as much as I love those two games.
