...that it is inevitable. I don't think it will take long for a lot of our games to get patches. I'd say within a month a lot of the popular games will be patched. I hope so anyway.

Wasn't MGS4 rumored to already have trophy and custom soundtrack support on the disc? I remember Ryan Patton said there was something about the game that even those who got the game early wouldn't be able to leak to the public since 2.40 wasn't live, but was expected to be before the game launched.

i need my trophies for ratchet and clank also
thats a game im sure about anyone could unlock the platinum trophy especially since its fun also

BTW, sorry for the noob question, but i got some difficulties to translate it. What means 1st, 2nd and 3rd party? I know that it has a link with developer / publisher, but which one?

How can we differentiate 1st party games to 2nd party and 3rd party games?
(remember that i'm french so my english-speaking is a bit limited, especially when it's about technical terms).

In a nutshell: 1st party means Sony developed and published (e.g. Warhawk), 3rd party means not developed or published by Sony (e.g. MGS4, GTA4). I believe 2nd party generally refers to a game that it published, and often funded in some way, by the first party (e.g. Sony) but developed by an independent (3rd party) studio (e.g. Insomniac) like Ratchet & Clank.

obviously it doesn't always have anything to do with Sony - that's just for the sake of example - could be Microsoft or Nintendo as well.

I only see 1 third party game right now. I think it should be mandatory starting tomorrow. Devs do it for the 360, I mean it would take more work, but it can't be that hard to copy achievements and make them trophies.
