SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation Deployed To October?

The release of Slant Six Games' PlayStation 3 shooter SOCOM Confrontation may have been bumped back a bit - at least at retail - as retailer GameStop pegs its North American release for mid-October.

If it is in fact your favorite online game then you would not mind them polishing it up and making it a perfect game upon release rather than rushing it to retail and giving you a poor rendition of what could have been a great online game. Waiting just a little longer to have a great game is worth the time. Besides, maybe they are getting their trophies in a bit later than expected. ;-)

All we can do is wait and see wait Sony says at E3, because the dates that are on gamestop are unreliable, hell they have FFXIII dated for December 2008 and we all know it's not coming out until next year.

I mean, if graphics are all important, then wait for the next SOCOM game, the one that Zipper Interactive are making as the next true sequel with offline and online modes on Blu-ray disc only.

Now your moaning about me? My point and only point is that what happens in an American store holds little bearing on us in the UK. These "retail rumours" get debunked all the time, just hold off the disapointment until it is confirmed by Sony.

9 - I just don't know why they couldn't just update all the Socom2 maps
Socom confrontation should of just been updated socom2 maps with nextgen graphics and improved animation. I don't see why they went out of their way to make these hugh maps 16vs16, when i think people just want socom2 style maps with 8vs8 and nextgen graphics. I think Sony made a big mistake and it's annoying to have to wait this long for a big franchise as socom. Confrontation maps just look to big and that's why I didn't play socom3 as much. Socom2 maps just felt right, you got to the action right away and it just felt good.

Resistance 2 comes out in Nov right? Need enough time to play Socom w/out another AAA game coming out. Also, why do people think of online only games as lacking in resources/inferior? @ 4.2, why wouldn't this game be a true sequel? True, Zipper Interactive isn't making the game, and the game is retail/and downloadable.... but that doesn't mean the game isn't a true sequel. I think to a certain extent downloadable games have more appeal. They focus on one thing (multiplayer) and do it well; just look at Warhawk. There is a large stigma of being an online only game. Looking forward to playing this game soon w/ some official headset action.
