where the Chimera attacks the soldier and rips and tears into his neck? I wonder if they're going to add that aspect into the actual gameplay

lol, first of all look at the human character, the human isn't human anymore. Second look at that big creature that must be one of the monsters you have to face in co-op or something.

With the newspaper articles I can't only make out the titles nothing else.

Im blind from videogames and yes I play about 100hrs on PS3 and 360 a week each but thats besides the point. It does look like masterchief well the outline does at least.

Im new here so dont kill me yet. But PS3 and MGS are the best this gen but other then MGS4 the best games Ive played the gen are 360's those are Bioshock(played on a computer) and Battlestations Midway and if anyone has a friend for a frindly 2v2 Bring it.

I've got the issue. Alot of good hands on info in there. I was pretty surprised they revealed as much as they did considering how tight lipped Insomniac seems to have been in the past.

SPOILERS...

Not sure if these are spoilers or not, but if you aren't interested in knowing too much beforehand and want to wait for the game...

In any case, yes you do fight that big monster behind Hale and they go into detail about it from playing that level (these were the first people outside of Insomniac to play R2). It should be an amazing experience from how they described it. He's 300 feet tall and no weapons can damage him with any significance. He also looks the size he is (in other words doesn't appear all scaled down when you actually fight him).

First he picks up Hale and you have to shoot rockets into his mouth to avoid being eaten. Then he chases you through Chicago as you fight off smaller enemies and avoid him. You lead him to a bridge where they have it loaded with dynamite and your goal is to get him to cross it. However, they say it doesn't end quite that way and they didn't want to spoil how it did end, but it ended on an even higher note.

They also explain in coop mode you take on hordes and hordes of enemies. 8 guys going after 30-40 creatures at a time (not sure if these are all on screen at once... didn't say).

In the story, there are others like Hale that are immune to the virus and Hale leads this team, so it becomes a group fight rather then just Hale doing it all himself. There are areas you defend your team while they plant a bomb or something like that, so there are group dynamics too. I believe in coop mode you play as one of these team members... not sure though.

In the coop mode you do alot of large scale fighting and it requires the whole team to take down one of those 300 foot beasts. Truly a team effort when the mission is over.

Also, since Hale is infected he becomes more and more like the Chimera as the story progresses, however they stop short of saying if you become an alien or not. My guess is the story twists at that point, but that is conjecture on my part.

They said the 60 multiplayer matches played great. You never felt claustorphobic or crowded. Each team had short missions that fit into a larger battle like defend this area while another team was told to infiltrate it, so your small group would do its thing while another group did its own thing.

Get the issue if you are interested in this game. Alot of great info.

Look at the last poster, "help keep our nation safe - enlist today". It asks people to enlist at www.getawarjob.com, but I'm pretty sure they didn't have the internet during WW2. An upcoming Resistance 2 website?
