I can't believe only 10 people were willing to give this game the score it deserves (between a 6 and a 8) and not be beaten down by the big review sites who have been clearly paid off by Sony.

And don’t kid yourself this game will come out on the 360 (a substance edition) but I hope Microsoft do the only decent thing and refuse to allow this.

MGS4 is not a movie. It is not a game. It's an experience, and experience 360 owners will never have the pleasure of knowing. I'm quite sure that the rumors about 90 minute cutscenes were debunked, yes? How would you understand half of what's going on in the game if the cut scenes aren't informative? The cutscenes are mostly there for those who are not familiar with the MGS franchise, and for people who want to brush up on the history of the game.

So basically, you're saying that MGS4 is trash and Halo/Gears of War are the best games that ever existed. First of all, you know nothing about the MGS series so don't even try. Second of all, at least the developer of the game has a lot more respect than the developers at MS put together. And finally, it seems that the weakest argument 360 owners can use against MGS4 these days is that it's more like a movie than a game. I could have sworn I bought a game. I could have sworn I enjoyed the cutscenes because they were informative and kept me pumped up for the action.

Please, give it a rest.

I can read fine that you. And I daresay my reading comprehension is better then yours. Dylexia or no. (1) I seem to be able to understand he isn't being entirely literal when calling it a "movie." With (2) that is personal opinion no? And I see no reason why Halo and GOW shouldn't be considered "good" games, given the critical and popular reaction to them.

Admittedly, they aren't my cup of earl grey, but I don't play them and they aren't aimed towards me so that is largely irrelevant.

Has what system? The PS3? Highly doubtful. It seems that anyone would claim that they have a PS3 and claim that they bought MGS4 these days. He said that he had a PS1 and a PS2 and had no intention of owning any MGS game.

Good isn't a good enough word for MGS4. It's an excellent game, nuff' said. And he also stated that sites were paid off by Sony. I find that very hard to believe, considering that many magazine sites and sources have claimed that this is Kojima's best work.

I daresay that my reading comprehension is just fine. What he said there was a bit unnecessary. It is a personal opinion but it also holds a sense of jealousy. I can tell when someone is jealous of something. They don't have to say it outright but they hide it behind words. Just like he claimed that MGS is overrated, Sony paid people to give high marks, yada, yada, yada. Typical trash talking.

I don't need to ask every PS3 owner. Applying simple mathematics is all that is needed.

I feel you missed the point. I wasn't going for exact sales numbers. Just ballpark figures. The number of copies of MGS4 sold (or shipped) is far below the number of PS3s that have been sold. Whether that number is 1.3 million or 3 million is neither here nor there. It is far below the 12-13 million (or whatever) PS3s that have been sold.

It is clear that he wasn't being particularly serious, the "...paid off by Sony." Should have given it away. That claim mirroring the one trotted out by anti-Xbox peeps with unnerving regularity if an Xbox game scores well.
