OMG. I'm in awe, is this actually a sandbox game. Probably bullshots though seeing how this game is delayed till next year.

DJtyler, you're not alone. The game have many similarities though Prototype has a more one colored theme but game gameplay wise they are both about mixing sandbox with superhero abitilties.

All I know is that the Good/Bad karma system sounds really intuitive and complex. Not just the "save the guy or kill him" deal.

Well, both games were officialy unveiled during E3 2007. InFamours during Sony's note and Prototype by the GameInformer issue of July (The same month as E3).

Also, powerwise, they are not really different. Sure there are enviromental differences but Prototype and InFamouse have a lot in common.
Still with much more colorful style, promise of real player choice impact on city and finally, history of Sucker Punch are in favor of InFamous but Prototype looks really sick as well.

I really love the shot with the ruined city. I'm definitly more interested now. I knew Sucker Punch would not disappoint but finally getting a sandbox that player can be really good or really evil, both with full consequneces hasn't been done before.

But with crisp shadows, and more detail overall. They stretched out a 720p frame to fill two whole pages, and it still looked really good. The 4x AA really helps out.

9.3 - Read the scans guys. I am totally into it. My little run through:
Think the NBC show Heroes, but you get to be the one who is granted special powers that you never expected. And learn how advanced they are naturally.

He will be a "lord of electricity", touching guns will be not useful, because they would just shoot continuously. He will be able to use environmental things like lightning, his powers will get stronger as he learns more of what he has been granted and what he is capable of.

This is open world, no markers on maps, or missions what-so-ever. This will unfold naturally with the player. Zeke is his best friend, Trish is his ex-girl and this other guy trying to expose him. There are villians that use powers of course. The city is made up of 3 big islands. Each island is ran by different organizations (villians). Transportation around this huge city will be interesting. Not just flying. He can also take cover ANYWHERE! Every nook and cranny. Anyway, sounds like fun stuff. :)

is another first buy for me. I never liked sandbox games but this will be my first. I just love the concept.

I am not too familiar with sucker punch though. Anyone knows if they are great devs like ND and Insomniac?.

OMG did i just read that Infamous is set for Spring 2009 release:| I mean wow. I love the story background. Yes it has some similarities with Prototype. Which one will be better? Only time will tell. But to say the least Shane Kim was partially right, 2009 will be the year of PS3:P along with 2008:D Talk about momentum. Great lineup of 2008 and being carried over to next year. Sony should start pumping some consoles this holiday season to avoid shortage issues;)
