From what I have saw from the single player I really believe they can. I also remember hearing from one of the devs that MP is like half the game. I think it was on gametrailers.

And from what I hear, its about 50% percent of the game. That was my biggest worry but I worry not anymore after I heard how much percent was been dedicated to the multiplayer aspect of the game.

create a visceral environment where gun fights seems to feel intense, if vehicles can be incorporated w/o being cheesy then great, and you gotta copy the prestige system. I never thought I'd be as hooked to it as I am but prestige really does keep you coming back to COD4.

As far as multiplayer goes for Killzone 2, i remember reading a really old article (and feel free to disagree, i understand if you dont believe me) about a year to 2 years ago, and from what i remember the multiplayer had some really cool things about it. I can't remember much from it but i vaguely remember them saying something like there's a MP game mode whereby the merceneries are on one team and the helghast are on the other. And as each team controls various zones of the map, the area controlled will either be vibrant and buildings look new etc. (Mercanary) or really run-down and damaged (Helghast) and it changes as the various zones are controlled differently. My memories pretty vague on that but i remember the MP was a big aspect and what they were doing with it sounded cool. It was on this site i saw it so maybe the article is on hear somewhere. Either way, i am really looking forward to this game

I hope they dont have to put their foot in their mouths after making a bold comment. This just another one of those haze is better the halo ordeal. It wont happen, their trying to generate some more hype and they want to compare to the best. see, they got more sense than the makers of haze, never go up against THE BEST, 9 times out 10 you will fall flat, face first.

Like some have said this game have high expectation, and COD4 have been the greatest COD multi-player ever. the game was also a multi-platform game so don't expect to beat it in SALES.

I'm not saying much about this game..I'll wait and see what develops. This statement another "heavy weight" on Guerrilla's back. Hopefully they don't break their back.

The fans AND the media kept dubbing Haze as a halo killer. Not free radical.

Same thing as now. Guerrilla said they are up for the challenge. And people are only reading/ seeing what they WANT to see. So people are going to take this and say "Guerrilla is saying they're better than IW's call of duty 4".

Gears 2 will and is coming to PC. I think Mark Rein said in one of his comments. They will probably release Gears 2 on PC 6-8 months after the 360 version.

I think they proved there point with Graphics that they can achieve that target video. Now all I am hoping for is that they have something really revolutionary in Singleplayer as well as multiplayer. Plus I hope they make the AI insane. I mean it should be better then F.E.A.R but on a bigger scale.

21 - i'm getting kindan sick of killzone 2
with all its delays, pushed into feb 2009 and all. not that i dont want it to succeed.

but i never understood by sony and many others having been pushing the real Playstation shooter that deserves the hype and comparisons.

SOCOM

after killzone was pushed to 2009, the hype should have simmered until xmas to give room for resistance 2 and socom. still killzone 2 is getting all this hype that i feel will unfortunately hurt it.

i liked killzone 1. but it wasnt a huge success. and while the psp version also played well it also isnt a huge franchise. but they are not the franchise that socom is and resistance picked up a few followers and i'm seeing less promotion for them.

There is such a thing as too much hype. i want killzone to drop already so this killzone nightmare can finally end.

24 - What's there to compare?
One has much better graphics, audio and immersion while the other has a much better frame-rate. KZ2 frame-rate is like Gears or Halo while COD4 is like R&C. It's a tradeoff. If you prefer framerate then pick COD4 if you prefer graphics, audio and immersion then pick KZ2. If i liked FPS I'd get both. I don't like FPS games.

Killzone 2 really bring something unique and different to the table. I know that's asking for alot but that's what i want from them. The Lean and Peak system isn't enough for me. I need something with more substance (and they should do away with that Call of Duty reticule and think of their own). I have high hopes for Killzone 2 but at the same time i have high expectations for it, am i setting myself up for being dissatisfied with the final product? Yes. But at the same time i'm giving GG the faith of them coming out with something truly different.
