I'm sad. One of the few games that interested me on the PS3 and it failed. I think the gameplay idea was very unique and coulda been really good.

This isn't a bad thing no matter how you look at it. I don't care if the game has 10 out of 10 or 5 out of 5. Would you rather buy a game for 60 or for 40?

Do you honestly expect me to listen to your rationale, that as long as it's 60 bucks it's awesome! But as soon as it drops price it's a bomb and we shouldn't spend money on it. Please, that's absurd. I'd rather pay 40 for an average game than 60 any day, why are you all and the media complaining about this all over the net?

perspective? Your comparing a fps with a 3rdps, your comparing one of the worst games on a console to one of the best. You want perspective on gears, compare it to uncharted. Even better, compare it to Metal Gear. Both exclusive, both released about the same amount of time into the conoles life. I darez ya.

I got GTAIV (PS3) for 40 bucks at buy.com after a special mark-down and 10 bucks off google check-out last week.
also got The Darkness for 20 bucks at deepdiscountdvd.com the same week. I can't for the life of me figure out why people have to have the newest game as soon as it comes out. If you wait a couple of weeks, the price will drop 10-20 bucks. I mean, is the game not new anymore after 2-4 weeks? If you haven't played it, it's new to you, isn't it?

I love games I give them all fai critiscm but knowing the potential this game had and to see it turn out like that i couldnt even rent it. I got to play it at a friends house for a long time and I feel really angry that pile of crap was produced * end anger* Honestlly I would only buy this game for like $15 and when toysrus put it on clearance i will buy it. Cause their clearance games are like 15 can you amagine prey for 15, blue dragon for 20 unbeleivable and all brand new.

We're doing the same promotion at Game Crazy. I was pretty shocked when I saw the advo. For $40, the game's actually not a bad buy. I rented and beat the game, and it wasn't bad, it just wasn't fantastic. I've certainly paid more for worse games.

I'm sorry, but if you like this game than your just a fan of the genre. That's not a bad thing, but it's not an accurrate way to rate a game. I've played this game and the best word to describe it is pedestrian. It is just a run of the mill shooter in every way. The whole "nectar" gimmick is a really weak mechanic. It's the equivelant of slapping a body kit on a honda and calling it a sports car.

I wouldn't play this game if I got it for free. Some people are more than happy to delight in the simple pleasures of point-shoot-repeat; i need more substance from a game or I get bored.

I gamefly'ed it and it wasn't even worth that.

People jumping on it now for $40 will be disappointed a week or two later when its $20.

The non-skippable garbage cut scenes were too much. If you can sit through that AND a generic point and shooter then you have very low standards.

i bought it played it, co op with my kids is the best thing about it. the game is pretty bland but you can tell that free radical screwed up a good idea.

i think the crappiest part about this game is that free radical didnt polish sh1t during the delay. definite letdown on their part.

Yeah, I just got Gamestop's Email Newsletter this morning and I almost couldn't believe that Haze had been dropped to $39.99 already. I guess Gamestop already anticipates that Haze will get left in the dust with Metal Gear Solid 4's release next week, so they want to lower the price on it so that customers might remain interested in the game.

I MIGHT pick up Haze when it's cheaper than $39.99, but it's highly unlikely. Free Radical/Ubisoft might as well port Haze to the 360 or PC because it's not like it's going to sell that much better by keeping it on the PS3. The reviewers have pretty much destroyed Haze and the only people that will be buying Haze right now are people that don't read gaming magazines or keep up with gaming news, or people that want to judge the game for themselves. Haze was such an embarrassment that it shouldn't even be called a PS3 Exclusive. I wish that Free Radical/Ubisoft would have just developed TimeSplitters 4 for the PS3 instead of Haze because it probably would have been a better game.

Anyone know why 360 games are 60 dollars when they use dvd's? I can understand why ps3 games cost 60 because they're blu rays, but if the wii can have 50 dollar games on a dvd why can't the 360?

Sony is probably eating the difference in disc price until Bluray manufacturing comes down to DVD9 levels. Its probably only a couple bucks a disc if that. Defiantly not $10.

The problem with haze is not that it sucks, its that it's nothing special. When both consoles allready have tons of great fps games, any new entry better bring something above and beyond the rest otherwise it will meet this sort of fate.
