A new step for the Orange Box petition

Mike Seedon, the guy handling the Orange Box petition, decided to go one step higher tonight. With nearly 1,700 signatures and over 8,300 visits, he believed it was time to heat things up. Just a while ago, Mike purchased a domain, making his website truly feel like an "official" one.

This petition doesn't go far enough. He only addresses minor bugs and kinks in the online multiplayer (it should be called TF2 petition, not Orange Box). Frankly, things like "recent players" not being displayed properly, voice chat names appearing on the wrong partof the screen, those are things I couldn't care less about when playing. I never even noticed them before seeing his site.

What we SHOULD be petitioning for is a patch that'll get rid of the serious frame rate issues in the Half Life games, fix the blurry graphics filter and cut load times across the board. Those are the biggest, most alarming differences between the 360 and PS3 versions, not the slightly inferior online features.

Part of me hopes the best for all the people involved on this.

But even if it works and this petition gets results, I don't want to have to see something like this everytime one console gets a better version.

I'm bummed that TF2 is weak sauce on the PS3, but I think it's time to move on. Just play some Warhawk, CoD4, and GTAIV online - let the healing begin.

first all, some people enjoy playing TF2, i bought it for pc, well its were it belongs, they were ported to the 360 and ps3, cause the programming is similar... valve was not gonna port to ps3 cause the owner is a dipsh!t and apparently dislikes the ps3 so much, and refuses to program on it, well that's his loss...anyways EA ported it,and it was a bad port with glitches that should be fixed, problem is no one is going to fix them cause EA is saying Valve is responsible and valve is saying EA is responsible, and that's were i agree with Mike that if we don;t do something now, this problem is gonna persist into other games, cause they'll get away with it...If rockstar released GTA4 with glitches on the 360 and freezing and crap of the sort, you would be saying fix it, just like Mike would... Now what would you do if Rockstar said its not their problem its MS, and MS said that its Rockstar not them... You basically have two people blaming each other over an issue that now won't be fixed. Since EA made the port they should be responsible, but their not owning up to it, and valve is a run by a retard...so will it be fixed, i dunno..

I don't even have a PS3, but out of solidarity for the brothers out there, i've signed the petition.

How can a game with such clearly shoddy workmanship be allowed?
Aren't all games meant to get the Sony quality seal of approval?

Everyone should get a mandatory refund for the game. It clearly isn't fit for purpose, and is there against the trade descriptions act.

You'd get your money back for anything that doesn't do what it is supposed to, so why are poor quality games immune from this law?

Companies like EA, Konami and various others take us for mugs, and its about time we stood up to them, and get their attention in the only way they understand - through not purchasing their games.
