Aeropause: PS3 Orange Box owners rage on for a balance

HL2 is dead.

Portal is utter crap.

Forget about the game.

If you really have to play it.

Buy the pc versions.

Always Remember! E.A have no clue about ps3 hardware. and they've said as much.

Orange Box is on the top 10 all time games on gamerankings, so maybe you should stfu.
Btw I dont really have any problems with my PS3 OB, just a lot of long loading time

1.2 - You're half right.
The HL2 community on Live is dying, and the PSN community never existed in the first place. It doesn't matter anyways because if you're a real HL 2 fan you'll be playing it on the PC like Valve intended.

I wish EA oor Valve fix so many issue on the game. I used to play TF2 quite a lot but there are some problem that hurt the game and the exploit are also to start yo get my nerves sometimes.

COME ON VALVE! Just develop for the ps3 yourself rather than being lazy and getting a shoddy port done by EA. the ps3 deserves great games and this could have been!

I didn't play TF2 much, but EA should do their job and fix it.

I played through HL2 and Eps. 1 and 2, and they were great. It's good they ported it, because I don't play on PC anymore. Some slowdown in sp was bearable, but broken online is not.

Wonder how they will release Eps. 3 on PS3?

If I heard that a patch was coming to address issues to the PS3 version, i'd buy it. But without one in sight I will continue to avoid it.

Is it just me or is this generation the worst for quality control so far?

I think it is and the issue needs to be addressed fairly seriously. I understand that with bigger budgets, more complex platforms which are drastically different from each other and the increasingly demand for choice and content pushes companies to their limits, but to the detriment of very gameplay experience? It shouldn't do that in the slightest.

Especially when using the orange box as an example, something which we all know full well could run perfectly on the PS3 but has been rushed out to meet a release date, and due to its smaller install base is giving to another team to port to save on money.

In fact, not only has this generation been the worst for quality control but has highlighted the true colours of many large developers and distributers.
