I see quite a lot of screen tearing...... hmmmmmmm lots of pausing too but that could just be the video
other than that its not a great quality vid so its hard to know.... I'll download the demo, looks like fun

edit: I'm curious, all those disagrees...... so there isn't screen tear?

But keep in account that this is a highly compressed vid. Some compressors cause what looks to be screen tearing.
You have to see a direct-feed vid in HD to know if it is screen tearing.

Actually I think it's an interlace scaned video so it appears like it my be tearing but video frame rate was just slowing down. Look in the middle of the screen when the character turns fast you'll see a line separating the character. That's because of the way it scans the screen progressive will never have problems like that when slowed down.

I'm guessing because that's the point where it isn't fast enough but I'm know for sure it's an interlaced scan. I know what you mean you're talking about "Interline Twitter" so I'm guessing the camcorder has some tech to hind certain things like "pseudo-interlacing." ;

you won't know till you see it from a direct-feed capture in HD. There are too many variables with the amount of different codecs and capture devices.

i have played the demo. and i was positivly surprised. graphics and physics are very good. and multiplayer is awesome! the best thing is, it has a very good frame rate and is fluid! the demo convinced me.

Trust me, it won't. The destruction in Bad Company is all but scripted, there are only certain parts of structures you're allowed to blow up. I can hit one wall with the RPG and nothing will happen but a black decal on the wall, then I go to the "appropriate" wall and wow it explodes. So far until RF3 comes out, Crysis still holds the crown on destruction physics in a game.

No it will not. Like the above stated the destruction is not real time but scripted unlike red faction. Approach this game with caution - I was in the beta and it was not that great. Also it appears to have noticeable screen tear and less then perfect frame rate.

But I hope mp isn't just about blowing everything and everyone up.

Close quarter combat with people running around with grenade launchers could get old fast.

its not like cod4 where it pretty much always blows up. its really hard to hit someone with the grenade launchers. and they made it mostly for blowing up walls because they give you 8 grenades.

playing the demo since launch now and i love it
this is the best mp game on a console to date and as a huge battlefield vet (played since the beta of bf 1942 every bf there was till this date) i can asure you it wont disapoint you.

I loved the beta on 360, it had a few "gameplay" issues, but for the most part a solid batllefield package.

sold the 360 and just PS3 now. BUT, for anyone wondering about screen tear, it aint the vid. must be Something about all that destructable makes it too much of a perf hit to lock the frames b/c it happens a lot when stuff is blowing up around you... Oh well, didn't bug me much at all while playing and wasn't all the time either.

i wont going that far and suggest that the ps3 version would be superior but on my demo (ps3) it runs absolutly smooth no hikups or whatnot supersolid and smooth framerate.

i bet the 360 runs as good too they definatly tweaked the game since the beta couse thats mainly the purpose of a beta to enhance the game for relaese
