Resident Evil 4 was ranked #1 for ps2 and for a good reason. It was a damn good game.

I really have high hopes for this one.

DAY1, RE5 FTW, GOTY, and whatever there is.

I just hope they make a really good single-player campaign.

What impressive AI are you talking about? I see zombies and zombie dogs doing what 100% of all other zombies do in 100% of every other game. They follow you and try to eat you. lol.

Anyway, not to detract from the game, as it is easily one of the most graphically impressive games I've seen to date. So many characters on screen at the same time further suggests simple zombie AI. At least it seems to be the current limitations of this gen.

ooo...dude i completely disagree. Did you watch the trailer? The guy was in a little corridor with 20 of the zombies coming at him, and he had like 5 feet of maneuvering space....thats not survival horror?

It's survival horror all right, but not in the way the previous Resident Evil games were survival horror.

RE4 and RE5 are more action games than horror games. This isn't a bad thing as RE4 is a very good game, but I wish they would incorporate more horror into these games; RE4 is tame almost when you compare it to the previous games. An ideal RE game for me would be one that combines the action of the modern Resident Evils and the horror of the classic Resident Evils.

I see what you're saying, man. This is more actiony and less horror than previous iterations and other survival horror games. I'm looking more forward to the new Silent Hill for this reason, because it's just a much spookier, scarier game in my opinion.

Think Alone in the Dark, circa 1990 on the PC, versus Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark, the Hollywood action movie.

if you have read/watched anything about it........

they say that they have tried to make it scary by having your eyes be sensitive to light.....coming out of the sun into a building you dont know with your eyes trying to adjust to the light change and not being able to see into the dark corners etc.....

Its going to be a more realistic experience this way and by the looks of it....its not always gonna be the day time... or in the day light....this game is gonna be a must buy

For a so called "Fan of the Series" you are a truly judgemental one....This game litterally looks 10x better then the others.........

And bad lighting???? This game is one of the only games that is trying to portray light as it is suppose to look.....if you read and watch the interviews about this......

light will cause your eyes to dialate and cause you to have loss of vision when entering dark building etc....for a short time frame...but enough to keep your a$$ on edge when trying to come into that building...not being able to see into the dark corners etc because your eyes havnt adjusted to the change in light...

And i'm sorry you think that was all CGI? all of those fight scenes with with the guns and zombies and all of those tight areas basically....more then half of that video was all in game footage....you can tell because it has the same in game feel as RE4...to call it cgi is sad....you really cant tell the difference?

SO basically you cant tell if its cgi or not yet you try to bash on the graphics of the game etc.....doesnt really make sense.... if you think actual gameplay is CGI then obviously it looks better then you are saying...

He's not even worth the time to argue with. Whoever actually watched the trailer will see that nothing he said rings true at all. I have yet to see any game that looks this good besides MGS4.

What's even funnier is he has a Street Fighter 4 character for his name/avatar. Now lets talk about a real outdated horrible looking game. Static environments, clunky looking fighting system, and horrible wanna be American version of anime looking art design pumped up on steroids with ps2 graphics. Lame.

It's only logical that your handle/avatar describes something about your interests. As I dislike Halo you don't see me with a sn haloboy420 with Master Chief giving you the thumbs up.

Also please do enlighten us on what games this gen should look like because obviously I missed the memo.

edit: OOG he's trying to say that those are quotes about other RE titles, but the smart guy forgot to put which RE beside each quote. A true genius at work. Not that any of that matters because this game is just as good looking for its day if not better. Also its not all about graphics. The game play, and atmosphere look phenomenal. Easily the most impressed I've been with a video game trailer in a long time.
