Saw:: More details on the Video Game

When you think of video games adapted from movies, what comes to mind? Alvin and the Chipmunks and Jumper, anyone? Well add another movie to the mix, Saw.

In an interview with horror Web site Bloody-Disgusting, the film's producer Oren Koules spills his guts on the games, which he says

"the game company are not letting [them] talk too much about."

According to Koules, the game takes place in the time frame of the first film, is being written by original screenwriters Leigh Whannell and James Wan, and will feature the voices of all of the original actors.

Bloody-Disgusting writes:

"[Producer Mark] Berg also explained to us that the game will be a walk-through where you pick up weapons along the way."

Just what in the hell that really means, I have no idea; but "walking" and "weapons" are confirmed, which sounds like a good idea for a videogame.

The original Saw was released in 2004, and sequels have been pushed out like bean burritos at Taco Bell every year since. Saw V hits theaters this October, and stars Julie Benz and Tobin Bell. The Brash Entertainment videogame is set for an October 2009 release, surely to coincide with the release of Saw VI.

I love the Saw movies. Well, the first two were good. The others were alright, I enjoy the traps and devices.

It would be cool if you could fully create and costumize the probable victims you are going to put in the cruel game and select which the trap you want to use for everybody.

Maybe that's how it's going to work... Didn't read the article :)

First movie was amazing. It's all been downhill from there, with the 4th one just absurd in its plot premise and everything

The Movies are Great. (Guess you gotta be a fan) The Original writers only wrote the first 2 movies and help with three (If my memory serves me correctly). Consider someone else grabs the plot of the movie it keeps it together is simply amazing. The movies have fallen down from the first one, but only because the Main story is no longer the concern. The back drop into each film goes deeper into the history of Jigsaw and his victims.

The Game sounds like it is going to be more like Condemned (Which was a game I loved), but if it ended up playing like Indigo Prophecy I would buy that in a heart beat. (the game was like playing Simon, where you must hit the correct sequence of buttons to live, or continue the story line) Sounds boring but the storyline was so amazing it made the game a instant classic.

That's just my input. I love the movie and the Saw six has been announced to be in theaters October 29th 2009.
