MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. Which means to some websites like gamespot it will be automatically deducted -2 points. Of course with something like

"Cutscenes are too movie-like"
"Gameplay has too much variety"
"30 hours too long for Single Player"
"Not coming to Xbox360"

It doesn't know if it wants to be an action game, or a ninja game, or a stealth game, or Gears of War wannabe.

I know, I see that their score is 7. To me, the game is easily a 9/10 and I think most sites and mags gave it 9s and 8.5s as well.

Judging by the demo of Grid I'd give it 6 or 7/10. The controls are way off, it feels like driving RC cars. I'm amazed it's getting such high scores in other magazines.

I forgot what site it was called but the name was casual gamers or something like that. They gave MGS4 a 9.2

Im not sure or there reviews count but they had stupid reasons for docking points from the game.

Cons. Something about the story being too difficult to understand for new gamers who play the game. And also saying too much shooting in MGS4. Which are pretty dumb reasons to doc that many points for if u ask me.

it has lots of glitches and the targeting system still sucks as bad as it ever did. i would have given it an 8.5-- but metal gear is looking better and better everytime i see or hear anything about it.

I'm not sure... IGN has only given like 3 10/10 scores ever since Zelda OOT (if we exclude Pokemon games on Gameboy). If they give 2 within 2 months, they may believe it'll be too much for them.

IGN gave Ghost Babel a 10 (Not even canon to the MGS story) and the other MGS games have gotten great scores so a 9.5 or 10 is a realistic score from IGN.

Meh, I can understand echochrome getting a 7, puzzle games have a limited appeal, but I have played the demo (full game not out in the UK yet) and it's something I need to play more of.

That will kill there credability and all sony fanboys will stop going to those sites. I think if any game site is going to lower the score it will come from one of those unknown game sites. Just like we seen with that game site called casualgamers. They gave it a 9.2 which aint bad but when u look at the cons for the game, it doesnt make sense to doc that many points for the cons they had for MGS4.

Cons. Story was too difficult for new comers <-- of course it is if u are going to play this game make sure u play the other 3, this game isnt made for u to just jump in and hope u can just understand everything kojima has written about. And the last con he stated was too much shooting? WTF last time I checked kojima said u can almost go through the whole game with out even killing anyone but then u would miss out on all the great things which make this game a masterpiece. This game is going to live up to its hype. I been saying it for months now and now reality check is starting to slap fanboys who dissed on this game. I cant wait june 12th will be a very special day for ps3 owners. :)

yeah i like the fact that the single mode is 30+ hours and more of gameplay. I hate playing games with too short single play that you finish in an afternoon. We'll get alot for our money.

More space is better, space counts when making big games. But You can make good game without 50 gb space.
