Home Beta Update 0.8.6 Comes with New Space

SCRAWL: "A tipster who choses to remain anonymous sent us in these new screenshots of a new update to the Home closed beta. The beta is now at v0.8.6.

The new space is called the Media and Events Space and it seems to be a harness for all PLAYSTATION related events."

Wouldn't it be interesting to get live streaming video of gaming shows in that space? Or perhaps also having them stream video of people at that event at shows and give the PS3 owners who don't get to goto those shows a chance to ask questions during them?

Why the hell are you comparing Home to a new IP from Free Radical?

Haze = Game
Home = NOT a game.

Wtf? Do you even know why Home was delayed so many times? They're trying to throw in as much content as possible before they release it. It's not because they're having issues.

I think it's up to two things: content and integration. No one wants just to walk around Home.

There has to be content, something people can do that is fun which would be socialicing, playing minigames and perhaps do some sort of adventuring.

Integration will have even greater potential. Imagine bringing game parts to the Home and vice versa blurring the line between game and Home. I really hope that is something they are doing there right now. Park your GT5 car at Home.. use your closet to store your battle gear and wear it while strolling around.

I haven't been following Home too much lately, but this has spurned new interest. I am cautiously optimistic about Home and hope its everything its been promised. Also, how does one describe it? Meta-game or social media hub? The one concern I have is whether or not Home is the first application that loads on the system; I would rather have access to the xmb before I access Home. Do you access Home just like you would Playstation store?
