but what i do know it's that the i don't care what people say.. the grafx are right on par with cod4, i'm not being a fanboy or anything.. or at least i hope i'm not, but if you put a cod4 soldier in those screenshots that will pass as cod4.

Evyewhere i go haters put this game down, specially in joystiq, but you can't expect less than that from a 80% ps3 haters website

I don't know why but the graphic looks really bad, yes I know graphics has never been important in Socom and that it's always been about the game play but I think they can do a better job. This game should be able to look just as good as Call of Duty 4 because it's coming out a year later so it should be on the same graphical level as each other. But there more then enough time I guess to make those improvements.

I hope everyone on here doesn't think I am trying to put this game down because I'm not hell I'm getting this on day one no matter what the graphics looks like I just want it to look better thats all.

I saw the screenshots and they looked horrible so I reserved judgement till I saw gameplay video, and I can confirm that it still is horrible. Honestly I don't see the point to releasing such crap. If GT5:P can be released on the PSN and can have those visuals and data size, Socom with better graphics can also be.

This fails in my eyes.

Dont think of this as Sony or PS Exclusive.

It is Socom, and that is it. Socom has never looked great. However, it is better than all other online shooters. This game has great looking environments, but yea the characters do look pretty poor. They look blurry.

Socom has a huge fanbase and are looking towards this game for redemption over the last catastrophe, Socom 3. I really hope this game can bring back the Socom 2 feel.

I would be buying this game on day one too, but graphics aren't looking as good as i thought they would, i was expecting something on par or better looking than Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter, but what im looking at is a game that is graphically inferior to GRAW, i hope they update it, i mean come on! the PS3 can do better than this! Anyway, im not worried about gameplay because i know that at this department this game will deliver!

Counterstrike looks pants

but that doesn't stop millions from playing it every day

in fact, SOCOM and Counterstrike are like peas in a pod

they're all about the multi-player, they have sh!t grapics, at heart- they're fairly basic shooters with nothing particulary intriguing and they both have massive followings of people who live them and play them every day

only difference is the perspective and platform

In some places it looked pretty good and in others like the detail of the soldiers kind of poor especially the facial details. But socom thrives on gameplay you dont even see anything but the back of the soldiers back most of the time so its no biggy. Socom1 had excellent graphics for a ps2 and this is ps3 now so im sure it shouldnt look worse then res on its final version which is good enough for me.

You can't compare SOCOM to any other shooter out there. Call of Duty is for noobs that just like to shoot and be shot. Gears of War could not even get more than 5 on 5 matches. These games had no campaign and not enough depth on clan wars. The only reason SOCOM Confrontation is going to be and online game is because. They want the cheap people to jump on board finally and buy themselves a PS3 and also get online service in order to play this game. Also since this game is not running off a disk it's not going to win any awards graphically but then again since when is SOCOM about graphics. This is the only shooter to get. Not even Resistance with better graphics or Killzone could dethrone such a bad ass game.

Gamer Zone is funny.. Alot of those guys dont even realize.. SOCOM is in its alpha stage and that it doesnt come out till september, what 5 months away.. Alot of time to touch things up

Totally agree.. Socom has always been halla popular.. but not like mainstream popular.. I like to compare it to the movie BoonDock Saints.. While a Phenomonal Movie and loved by alot of people.. No One really knows about it.. Its a quiet success with a huge fanbase..

Also yes KZ2 is gonna be Amazing.. that has like 8 months left and it already looks the way it does.. I expect to be blown away

But in all honesty, I don't care about the graphics, just give me the game already. Ppl who critisize this game fail to realize it isn't a true sequel(hence the 40$ price tag). Sony just needed to come out with a Socom game for PS3 since the old PS2 servers are shutting down.
