SCRAWL: Orange Box Petition Reaches 1,000 Signatures

"The petition for The Orange Box on the PLAYSTATION 3 has finally reached over 1,000 signatures. For those of you that are uninformed, a fellow gamer started this petition for those of us who've been ripped off by all the various faults in the PLAYSTATION 3 version."

Note also that the petition website, which has been visited over 4,400 times since it has been launched 4 weeks ago, has been redesigned for the occasion. Here is the link in case you still do not know about it:

Only 1000?

Fat lot of help that's going to be. Just play it on PC, none of the console versions are being supported anymore since it was a dirty flop online-wise.

Yea mind as well write this game off. Valve already stated they done with the PS3 and im sure they even more done with this old game. Its a shame really, but its time to just let it go! Sell it off or keep it, what ever but don't expect anything from Valve when it comes to the PS3 until further notice if ever again!

Petitions are nothing but false hope, and one game isn't enough to get hung up over. Just move on.

1000 signature are like a moschito on the ass of an elephant. Let's hope it doesn't seat. I did rent the game through GameFly and I am enojoyning. I do understand the hunger of having a sub-par version of the game compared to the 360/pc one. I do also have a 360 but I wanted to see myself these issues. They are not too bad and the single player of HL2 is playable, however there are some sequences were frame rate problems condition my aiming skills. All in all the content of the package is stellar BUT for a full price of $60 one would expect a better polished product.

It's unfortunate that the ps3 users are suffering, and I'd just tell them to get it for PC too. I'm surprised to see not a lot of servers are on steam, or maybe I'm just expecting more because this game has finally pulled me back from console gaming to pc. I don't know how it is on 360 or ps3 because I havent played TF2 on either console, but I am having a pleasant time with the PC version

13.3 - This isn't entirely about the PS3 since they technically never developed for it.
Valve has actually scoffed at the idea of upgrading the Source Engine, or even starting from scratch to make a more powerful, up-to-date successor to that engine (which itself is derived from another developer's engine).

They're great at designing, but design can only hold up for so long before old technology starts to hold it back. If they don't want to develop for PS3, they shouldn't even bother outsourcing their games to that platform. It's a bizarre decision that basically says "We don't want to do the work, but we want the money."

Ima have to say that the fool said something intelligent for once. Valve said they had no interest in the PS3 long before orange box was even announced for 360 or PS3. I dunno why people expected them to put the same effort into the PS3 port as the 360 port. So ya, be happy that there's even a PS3 version of the game. If ya wanna play the game properly, buy it for PC since that's the definitive version.

Horrible framerates. Buggy physics engine. Loading screens every 5 minutes. No automatic checkpoint system (hell, even Crash Bandicoot has one), and no, Quicksave is NOT the same. Yeah, I was really happy with that.
