That isn't impossible to fake. That could be a recorded gameplay clip stored as a video file on the ps3.

I like to keep an open mind but in game xmb has let me down too many times

but in-game XMB has already been available on some games guys. One of the first to use it was Mainichi Issho from the Japanese store like a 100 years ago.

Could be real OR he could have taken a screenshot of GTA4 Start Menu and put it as his background on his PS3 XMB, if you look you'll realise that there are no wavy lines on the XMB. Then he played a GTA4 video and pressed the PS button.

* 256MB XDR Main RAM @3.2GHz
* 256MB GDDR3 VRAM @700MHz
Add that up. Learn something about hardware then compare PS3 with the 3fixme and see how outdated your console is.

shared memory system is relatively easy to program since all processors share a single view of data and the communication between processors can be as fast as memory accesses to a same location.

The issue with shared memory systems is that many CPUs need fast access to memory and will likely cache memory, which has two complications:

* CPU-to-memory connection becomes a bottleneck. Shared memory computers can not scale very well. Most of them have only ten processors.
* Cache coherence: Whenever one cache is updated with information that may be used by other processors, the change needs to be reflected to the other processors, otherwise the different processors will be working with incoherent data (see cache coherence and memory coherence). Such coherence protocols can, when they work well, provide extremely high performance access to shared information between multiple processors. On the other hand they can sometimes become overloaded and become a bottleneck to performance.

Anyone that understands that knows it better then the 360's Shared ram ( in other words cheap low grade ram ). I'll stick to the high end hardware you can go play on that cheap hardware they made you over pay for. Do yourself a favor go read a book on hardware before you make stupid uninformed comments.

PSsh1t doesn't have any of this, and won't (too late to redesign the entire architecture, sorry, that's why they won't confirm anything. they know it will NEVER happen)... because they are braindead. they didn't assume from the DESIGN process that anyone wanted any of this! meanwhile M$ had it planned years before 360 launched.

PS3 sucks and will never have full functionality. enjoy those movies!
