You've got to have nerve to make a game with no single-player component whatsoever. Well, unless you're the SOCOM team and you've been doing it for something like a zillion years. Though still months away from its September 16 release date, the game already plays with a level of polish and shine that most shooters never achieve.

Awesome, I will be playing this come September 16. They also said it has the best use of the tilt functionality seen on a PS3 game.

They confirmed "rolling grenades" in March I think and the ability to get on rooftops....

PSN exclusive downloadable games outshine the competition hands down. :)

@unrivaled below: This will release on Blu-ray too. I always buy the Blu-ray. Also, the new official "SOCOM 4" is being made for late 2009 Playstation 3 domination...lol.

ppl say this game doesnt look good but they dont realize that its a PSN tittle and if it was only made for a bluray disc it would look much better.

So this game looks awsome for being a PSN download game.

And it comes with a headset with extra added bonuses I think of how they created the game and other stuff.

im a sucker for psn games, its just too convenient to buy them. they just sit there in the store a couple clicks away from ownership.

then i suggest you go pick up a used copy of socom 2 and combine assault to see what its all about man, you've really missed out.

ive notices in one of the screen shots earlier, the guys helmet looked better than cod4s helmet, it wasent shiny, but looked like metal with a plastic coating over it and it gave it that scratched up real plastic look to it, i was amazed surprised to see how life like it looked.
