That’s why they have a team just for evaluating and testing levels so people don’t abuse the game with dirty ideas.

4 - so hard to describe
this game!! I"ve tried to tell my other gamer peeps how awesome and innovative this game will be! Its just too hard in my limited poetic skills:( can anyone tell me this isn't the game for a person with the tiniest bit of artistic mind to just go nutz for!

5 - Platforming disassembled
This specific video of LBP gave me another impression of the game. I looks just like the castle levels of Super Mario World for the SNES, with all the moving platforms... what a great homage to the original platformers. LBP is surely going to innovate, but it will also be a delight for those who've been around for long.

They pretty much confirm trophy support as well. Not that it's saying much since the game isn't out until October, but that's an extra tick.

I really like the pull out stairs in that video, it's amazing what you can put together with such simple shapes.

I really want this game!

eyetoy implementation looks cool but I can see that being used by some idiots in the wrong way.

Anyway, this is still looking awesome and I;m hyped up even more for this :D

Looks excellent, I love side-scrolling platforms (that is why I think New Super Mario Bros. is the best Mario since Super Mario World), I can't wait for this game, sucks though that they delayed it a whole month, hope that time is well spent on the game.

10 - Wow, LittleBigPlanet amazes me again!
I never expected to be able to us the PSeye actually during the level, I thought that images (and hopefully videos...) will have to be recorded on some area from the main menu.

Also, that walking thing at the end looked pretty complex. I've heard before that everything in every level could be produced with the in-game creation tools. Just imagine what incredible contraptions could be created by some very creative people with a lot of determination and a little bit of trial and error.

Who knows, we might see some 'living' levels that put the giants in Shadow of the Colossus to shame!

October can't come soon enough.

10.1 - The elephant was an object in the level
It isn't something a user would make.

10.2 - Actually Lazy One,
I can remember in an interview a while ago, with one of the game's developers, that it will be possible with the in-game creation tools to replicate every object and asset in the main levels.

The elephant thing appeared to have a number of relatively simple swivel points that were used to brilliant effect.

The movement tools have been shown in the past and I'm sure that when a few are put together with differently shaped blocks or other objects then some really cool things can be made. Hopefully there will be quite a number of ways to program the tools to move things in different ways (probably not intelligently, but hopefully you get my gist)

Also they might be able to provide updates, after release, to add more tools for a greater level of customisation, depending on what the community wants.

It may be that new tools, objects, materials and textures will be made available for individual download, rather than a full update.
This could be delivered through the playstation store or directly in the game.

Lets hope its just free!

(EDIT) I just watched the video again and the guy in it said that "anything you see in the game you can make".

Super elephant here I come!

10.3 - The difference is...
You don't have the tools to make all the pieces of the elephant. If they already have pieces in place, with some time you could make it. If there are no pieces, you won't be able to make it.

In the case of the elephant (what I was replying to) he said that you can unlock the elephant by beating the level in a certain amount of time.

I'm pretty sure the "whatever you see in the game you can make" comment was in regards to overall level design, not individual components of those levels.

10.4 - Clever is right
It's been said multiple times that whatever you see you can make, and whatever you imagine you can make. It's pretty limitless in possibility. Besides, having seen all of the creation options, how would you think you couldn't make something as simple as that?

There was a video a couple of months ago showing players building a simplified robot with moving arms and everything. There's also video of players making a tank.

12 - I'm just curious
Why is it innovative? It's a physics based platformer (done before). It has an in depth level creator (done before). It allows multiplayer (done before). it allows level sharing (done before).

It looks ok, but I don't get how you justify "innovative"
