I'm surprised he hasn't brought out, well if PS3 outsold 360 by 50K, it'll take PS3 2 years or so, to fully pass 360 worldwide (Assuming 360 has a 5 million lead).

You were the one who was all for vgchartz back in the day when the 360 was outselling the PS3 but now the tables have turned so has your view on it. Just admit that even though vgchartz won't be 100% right that the PS3 will no doubt be outselling the 360.

I dont get this, where does vg charts get its numbers from? or are they completley reliant on what the market looks like? also, where do you get the actual results, how many they've actually shifted?

personally, I really like they way that this is all heating up... if just 1 platform is leading completley then there is no reason for a company to produce original titles. Also, I do remember when all the 360 fanboys were all "omfg, free60 is ttly OWNING the ps3!!!pwn!!11!"

I really wish alot of you would just grow up and realise that all of this is controled by capitalist douchbags who just want your money, and stop the one truly objective, nonbiased gaming site look so amatuerish

Your right they could be seriously under-tracking PS3, maybe they out selling 360 by more than 30-40 K in all of europe weekly? Especially if PS3 since march last year, has is right behind 360 in total sales in Europe, or if you beleive Sony ahead of 360 already.

I agree with Bladestar I was just going to mention the folks using better tracking methods sing a different song.

Who's to say VG-Chartz have not under or over tracked the numbers for any given week for any given console sence this generation started. lol

I agree Blade star who knows whats been going on in Europe with VG-charts(talking about Europe mind you)

Theory based from VGC'z not being able to track two countries let alone a whole continent worth of countries lol.

2.2, I'v been paying attention to VGC long before you were even a member on this site. The assumed winner is the console thats always over tracked becuase they're guessing based on different circumstances(like Price cuts/certain titles or perceived popular shift towards any given cosole" based from what I said above and a host of other issues, Example: the perceived success of the GT5-P demo had obviously factored in their guess-timation).

I actually did read somewhere though that VGChartz uses some kind of java code that randomly generates numbers for the systems based on how the console did in the previous week or which ever.... So either way, its all a "rough estimate"....lame.

VGChatz and N4G's relationship to them certainly is strange.

When I started using N4G week in, week out it showed success for the 360 as a result...

360 fans loved VGC while PS3 fans called it fake or bias

Funny that isn't it, seems everything is factual when it suits your arguement, as soon as it doesn't you all seem to bang on about "estimates etc".

it's just a guess.but the reality is simply right there in front of us.

microsoft is losing its 1 year lead.they lost it to nintendo.and now push the wii aside as if they aren't competing against it.and they got outsold by sony in the year of the perfect storm.and worldwide they are getting outsold by both nintendo and sony.

8.1 - all depends where you are talking about?

in japan and europe as a whole, then the ps3 has been selling more (i hate the word outselling, it's like the fanboy shield!). but in america, it only managed to beat the 360 for a couple of months. and in the uk(which is not all of europe), i wouldn't like to say because the 360 is very popular here.

so, add them all up, and with the paltry figures that sony and microsoft have coming out of japan, i would say that sony is doing maginally better worldwide.

which is good for them. but, it's not like the dominance thy are used to, and it's not enough to catch microsoft anytime this year.

This post is about worldwide sales not in individual regions so yes the PS3 is outselling the 360 in worldwide sales which is the big picture. Even the monthly NDP numbers show that and numbers don't lie.

For a benchmark of course. The PS3 and 360 are tracking well in terms of game sales too! Glad to see the PS3 is doing well these days and as long as the good games keep coming in on both the 360 and PS3, I could care less about sales. They're just numbers to have fun with.
