You must be confused.

The XBox doesn't get any updates because it was discontinued almost 3 years ago, when the XBox360 was introduced.

The 360's spring update is just around the corner.

Both have strengths and weaknesses...and that competition keeps them improving. I'm glad there's more than one console to choose from, or we'd be playing the sequels to Gears of War and Resistance with 4 sprites and 16 colors.

I don't know if this was added, but the PSN Store Thumbnails seem to be loading very fast for me. Before this update it would only load 2 thumbnails and those would take forever, now it loaded the full page of thumbnails within 30 seconds.

Unless I just got online at a time where not many people were looking at the PSN store?

Competition between both consoles IS GOOD for everyone.

The even number of an update doesn't have anything to do with how much stuff we get in the firmware. BD-Live came at 2.20, 1.80 brought in smoothing of ps2 games and the HDMI upgrade additions to make the ps3 games sharper...1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc doesn't mean anything...

Wow....that really sucks that people's GTA IV keeps crashing like crazy...

I have a year and a quarter-old PS3, and I haven't even had so much as one skipped frame in GTA IV.

Also, every day I wipe down my PS3 with anti-septic / anti-dust wipes, and blast it with compressed air.

My PS3 gets the royal treatment, and it gives the same back to me =)

i always wondered why a simple date and time couldn't be displayed when you press the ps button. Maybe they don't want to remind you of the countless hours your spending on their console when you should actually be doing other things like sleeping, revising for an exam, getting ready for work etc
