GTA V release date is Fall 2010?

Game analyst Michael Pachter says "I actually think they already have a story in mind. GTA5 is already in the planning stage and my guess is you'll see [the next GTA] in two and a half years. In fall of 2010, there'll be Grand Theft Auto 5."

Ask Sam Houser if he played Oblivion cause that is a huge game on the 360 with so much space even for more downloadable content. I think Oblivion is bigger than GTA 4 in terms of space. Don't get me started on Two Worlds also LOL!!! GTA 5 should not be a problem on 360.

First off Michael Pachter is as bad as Jack Thompson. He's a complete media slut!

Secondly, GTAV will be multiplatform. Why? EA will most likely own Take-Two and the GTA rights within a couple of months. There's no way EA/Take-Two would ignore the higher software sales of GTAIV on 360. If need be, they'll just put GTAV on multiple discs for 360. EA/Take-Two are not interested in petty console wars, they're only interested in mullah... and multiplatform means more green.

Thirdly, 2010 is possible but 2011 seems much more likely. I agree with Bill's argument that GTAIV was the next leap forward and that V should just be an incremental step like Vice City/San Andreas using the same engine. The only reason I think 2011 is more likely? Well given the two big chunks of episodic DLC for the 360, plus additional DLC that's likely for both PS3 and 360, R* will be all tied up till mid 2009.

i can actually see that, if it's using the same engine as gta4. the gap between gta3 and vice city wasn't too long so if its an expansion like that, as opposed to a brand spankin new game, then its possible.

It probably will be released in 2010, following trends set by VC and SA from last generation. Using a slightly updated engine in an entirely new setting. I hope it is GTA VC 2. That would make my day.

Yea that would be cool if you could get businesses and rob stores and stuff...

Watchin the moon and the stars with the unbuttoned hawaiin shirt watching hundreds of people getting in line to get into the club you got from killing the owners, then after a few hours of staying in the VIP section a few "Pretenders" try to shoot up your club and with the snap of your fingers 20 of your men just take them all out without a sweat, then you get into your limo then cruise into the 5 star hotel you own...that would be cool for this gen

I think that sounds pretty accurate if you ask me because they've gotten used to using the Playstation 3's hardware, so it should be a walk in the park. I can't actually say that because if you walk in my park, then you won't make it out in great shape. Anyway; yeah that sounds about right.

Now, this isn't to say that I don't believe GTA V will release in 2010, but who really cares at this point? I haven't finished GTA IV yet. The DLC hasn't even been given a release date. No one cares about GTA V at this point.

2010 would be great. I would love to see a new city though. If the story is as good or better than IV I will be happy. After playing all the GTAs over the years (including the PSP ones) the story is the only thing that keeps me playing IV.

Makes sense. It will be the same engine with new features added in other areas. I hope they take things back to the old GTA formula so we can have more fun when we aren't playing the story. As silly as they are, I miss things like ATV's, different types of choppers, the jetpack, sky diving, local 2-player, and airplanes. I hope they bring all those things back, because they were great!

GTA IV is just fine, the size that it is...It's a C.I.T.Y...Not a state like San Andreas was... Also, it was their 3rd time at bat with the PS2 hardware...They even said how much more they could squeeze onto the disc from GTA III to San Andreas.

And Sam Houser is about making money...And consdiring how many more units sold on 360, he's not dumb enough to make less money by making it exclusive to ANY console.

I didn't honestly expect GTA 4 to live up to the "hype", but I honestly expected a much better game than what was delivered.

I am very close to saying I HATE GTA 4. I am having difficulty finding entertainment in this title. This game sucks in so many ways compared to GTA San Andreas.

This situation reminds me of a new band. First CD is good and 2nd and 3rd CD is much better, then they start to suck when they lose vision and creativity.

GTA is past its prime boys, plain and simple. There will never again be a GTA that will match San Andreas MARK MY WORDS. San Andreas was the pinnacle of the series.

25 - A Sequel to San Andreas would be better
It probably would be better if they made a sequel to SA. If they focus the series in one place too much, it'll start to get stale just my opinion.
