look its no contest, SR2 will be more fun than GTA 4,'FUN' is the keyword there, but none the less GTA iv its still a great game, graphically, sound-wise, story e.t.c, the only thing is SR2 is going to give a real gamer, much much more fun, unquestionably, lets contest features shall we:

GTA 4:
-bowling
-prostitutes
-darts
-drive land vehicles(takes some gettin used to)
-story missions (Great ones)
-drinking
-online play(Great too)
-watching in-game TV(don't know how fun this is...LOL)

SR2:
-full character customisation(face,body,walks, talks,insults,praise 's)
-vehicle customisation(rims,color,perfo rmance,hood,roof,spo ilers,interior color,body mods)
-robbing stores/shops(hold-up at day & a theft minigame at night)
-online play(Hella fun)
-drinking
-taking drugs(spliff,blunt,pipe,bong)
-eating(freckle b!tche's)
-activities, this is such a big one i will list them separately:
-drug trafficking
-escort
-hostage
-mayhem
-hijack

saints row is a gta ripoff. but an awesome gta ripoff. i love gta. it's the king of these kind of games. but just like every other type of game it spawns imitators. some good and some bad. but saints row is a fun game. and i'm looking forward to part two. it's going to be sweet as hell.

They still don't realize that consumers are hesitant to pick up a xbox360 and pricing and gears won't make xbox360 pick up in hardware sales.

Well, it looks like the PS3 has indeed taken over Europe from the 360.

However, Australia isn't really the biggest gaming market in the world either. The Playstation 3 has sold more than double of the amount PS3 consoles in Japan than in Australia for gods sake, but it's just good to see that the PS3 is doing good on a Worldwide basis.

Yes, the Xbox 360 has more console units sold in total, but the PS3 has been the system that has been selling better worldwide than the 360 even though the PS3 costs more and that's a BIG advantage because just imagine how much PS3 sales will jump when Sony drops the price on the PS3. I think that Microsoft will need more than just the U.S. Market to beat Sony in the console war.

10 - I hope for Sonys sake all the numbers add up when the independent NPD numbers are in...
A lot of egg on their faces and if Microsoft are being quiet all the better. I like it when companies (Namely Nintendo) do not bother crud chucking at each other and concentrate on what makes gaming great... good games. I only see MGS4 as the only reason to buy a PS3 at the moment, hopefully that will change but I am more than happy to have a 360 go of Bioshock 2, GTA and and other multiplat game that comes my way. Ninja Gaiden is starting to get exciting for me too. I would hope all the PS3 owners are looking forward to their FPS too. I have had my fun with Halo 3 and still play Bioshock. I do hope for people who own just a PS3 that they get Bioshock. Its one hell of a game and worth every red cent I payed for it.

Gfk IS Australias NPD so backed up by what EB Games said these numbers are as solid as those. Did you read the article?

Plus my friend Jeff Goblum is right, when is M$ ever quiet? They were the ones that came out earlier claiming victory without any numbers to back it up. I call that a flat out lie Sir and we dont take to kindly to that type in these parts. Sony saying anything here is actually just a reactive response to let everyone know the M$ rep is full of sh*t.

Rockstar had to learn how to use PS3 like everyone does. Pretty good effort on their first game if you ask me.

The only thing they complained about hampering the game was the lack of a HDD and the small disk space. Why do you think they want to make exclusive PS3 games?

And, GTA4 sold MORE copies on PS3 in Aus where 360 has a sizeable lead.

Those 25k PS3s given with the Bravia deals could have contributed actually. Isn't it interesting how they weren't counted? I mean, it's a "pack-in" with the TV, and it still counts as a PS3 existing, and Wii Play is counted in sales, and it's clearly helped GTA4 sales on PS3 so...

Anyway, PS3 has taken down 360 in Europe, Japan, with America left to go.

xbox 360 currently have a 5million unit lead on the PS3

it took the 360 2 years and some to sell 5million consoles in EUROPE
it took the ps3 1 year to sell 5million and some in europe......

ps3 is currently outselling the xbox360 WORLDWIDE

in the kind words of most xbox supporters: AT this rate, EUROPE ALONE is going to close the 5million unit gap by this time next year....and keep in mind, that all this was done without ANY GAMES on the PS3... and thats also assuming that SONY DOESN'T DROP THE price of the ps3, and NO PROVEN IP's come out.... but we all know that's not going to be the case.... GT5PROLOGUE ANYONE???? exactly......i know you remember.

EUROPE NUMBERS.....

xbox360 sells 2.5 million a year = 5million in 2 years.
PS3 sells 5million a year = 10million in 2 years....
EUROPE
march 08 = xbox 360--5million ps3 5.1million
march 09 = xbox 360 7.5 milion ps3 11 million, just being safe.

and this is what i dont get.....how in the WORLD is the xbox360's install base is a 19 million........

5million in EUROPE, and lets exagerate and say 11million in the US.....how do you get 19 out of that? AT MOST It can only be 16.5million....anyways....

I just dont see how the PS3 is going to manage NOT TO OVERTAKE THE 360 WORLDWIDE by JAN 09......CALL ME A FANBOY, or WHATEVER YOU WANT...but i just dont see it any other way.....i guess basic logic is clouding my thoughts.....

and please dont bring up GEARS, because if you're honest with yourself, EVEN WITH HALO3, BIOSHOCK, ME, and others, 360 sold almost 3million less than the year before. SO 90% of GEARS2 is going to sale to people who already OWN 360s........

*edit.... i think i might have figured out how MS got the 19 million unit up to date.....
5 million in europe, and 9 or 10million in the US, so that puts you at 15 million or so. and if you factor in the percentage of the defective 360 that had to be replaced, let's say at least 25%... LEAST, key word "AT LEAST" a quater of the total number, then you're somewhere around 17.5million units..... 5+9=14 14 times .25 or a quarter = 17.5million units... BUT if you factor in the 33% instead with the total numbers, ironically, it matches it exactly..... 5million in europe, and 9.5 million in the US,= 14.5 million, TIMES .33 or one third...= 4.75million defective units.. add the 2, and you have 19,2million xbox360 in total....

just my thoughts.....of course

BUT i also have to point out that you are also an idiot. Check a map. seriously, what do you see? America, and Europe do not make up the whole world. you've got this whole continent called Asia, not to mention australia, africa and south america. and while i doubt sales are particularly huge in some of these areas they still make up MS's 19million units sold.

that i am fgairly sure is why its called a WORLDWIDE figure.
