Pretty much, I've been saying this for the longest time.

Now if you wanna talk strategies of each console manufacture might do during the holidays to sell their most anticipated game sure.

Personally, these 2 games are not even on the same level as far as, "what one did for their perspective consoles, with their launches."

The thing is, I think Sony PS3 and some of it's hardcore fans is still yearning for "That Game" this Gen. The 360 IMO already have had it.

From what I have heard and seen Resistance 2, is not it.

I feel bad because Killzone 2 is gonna rain on it's parade after 2 months of playing time. Seems like there is more excitement circling around that game.(obviously). Forget what Geow 2 is doing that game is gonna sell regardless.(No Stopping it, it's proven)

I was just about to say the same thing. If anything they should compare MGS4 and Gears of War 2 since they both are in third person view primarly(MGS 4 has a 1st Person view also but as a added).

The guy who wrote it didn't even finish Resistance. He said he only played it for a couple of hours. Its a 10-12 hr game how can you judge it playing 20% through? And how can you say Gears 2 will have way better graphics when no one has seen the single player in Resistance 2?

1.7 - No game should be compared to MGS4 because MGS4 is on a whole different level.

I can't wait to see the battle between these two juggernaut titles. I mean in '06 you saw a lot of people criticizing and comparing Resistance with Gears of War. A lot of people (even myself) felt that it was unfair 'comparisons' because Resistance being a launch title and what not. But this time around its more on a level playing field. Both developers have worked with their exclusive console for quite some time and both did great things for the system they released on.

Both Gears of War and Resistance sit comfortably under my TV but I'm rooting for what Insomniac is doing. Their an awesome developer and for them, they were the underdog back with the PS3 release and now they are just ahead of every other developer who is making games on the PS3 by miles...

Insomniac are taking this game very seriously and they are ready for Round 2 VS. Gears of War.

True comparing gears to killzone would make more sense due to closer similarities than gears vs resistance.

But the fact still remains is it's fps vs third person shooter.

Comparisons should only be made for SAME genre games.

but when you pay 400 for a next gen system you want to be able to prove that you didn't waste your money. So you desperately look for any indication of a reason to say "look at this...WOW"

But honestly, I thought GRAW was better than Gears. Sure Gears didn't have the screen tearing issues of GRAW, but GRAW had better weapons, gameplay, and environments. Gears was like being in a box because here you have this big, bulky space marine and limited room to move around.

Well, other than GRAW being awesome, too. I thought they were awesome for in different ways and for different reasons.

GRAW lacked the seamless campaign co-op, for instance.

As for your earlier comment, I don't necessarily agree that GeoW is the best 360 game out, but regardless, you said that - "being the best game on the 360 isn't saying much"? You're clearly blinded by bias if you can't admit the 360 has a pretty solid line-up. But guess what? So does the PS3.

I LOVED GEARS1, well the campaign at least, i hadnt had that much fun with a SP game since halo 1 lol.

but the multiplayer really pissed me off, the conecpt was cool, i didnt mind 4 vs 4 (i wish gears 2 does at least 5vs5 though) but the lag killed gears online, it came down to who had host. and the lobby system for ranked games! WTF! so yeah the host can basically choose whos on his team (taking the best ranked players everytime) yeah thats fair...

gears MP to me was inferior to even halo 2, and when halo 3 came out i havent touched it. hopefully gears two will have top notch multiplayer, if it does that and provides another stellar campaign... its going to be right up their with halo 3 on my favorite games list.

i commend resistance on it not having lag, more games need to follow insomniacs lead on that.

I think the only real reason Resistance 1 and GoW 1 were compared was because, at the time, they each represented the "best" graphics for their respective system.

Nowdays, the title of "best graphics" is much more subjective so there's little reason to compare the two unless you're a bored fanboy.

Halo 3 vs KZ2

MMM, Killzone 2 will distroy Halo in the graphics department.

Gameplay- Halo 3 has it unique style while KZ2 looks more like COD4. I would say Halo 3 in the gamplay department. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah fair comparison, compare a 2006 game with 2009 game. Why dont u compare KZ2 with halo1 while u're at it. Or COD2 to KZ2 since both have 2 in the end or maybe Halo2 vs Resistance 2.

@6.1 KZ2 is no way comparable to COD4. HAave u played COD4 or watched the intense action and gritty environements on video or trailer? KZ2 looks like a walk in backyard of a pre-school. The 4 guys shooting at u are hitting everything except u and u stand behind an enemy fire couple of shots he stands up then falls down in erratic manner and disappear in cyberspace right infront of ur eyes. This gameplay is as bad as original KZ. The graphics alone cannot save this pos.

One was a launch game, one was an anticipated game that was allowed one year of development after its respective platform was released.

And Resistance was never destroyed by Gears of War.
