Amazon and Gamestop offering God of War III pre-orders, claim March 2 release

Its BS. I seriously doubt sony can get GOW ready in time for March. If i see E3 footage though i will be a believer. I don't mind waiting till 2010 for a proper GOW sequel. Just make it the best of the 3. Kick a$$ story and end the series with a bang. I hope this will be the last one because i can definitely see the series going down hill

It won't be released in March, It would be mad to release it close to killzone, unless Killzone is released at the start of Feb.

My bad and its not paranoia, its just getting really tiring coming on PS3 threads and then we have people making off-beat comments about the 360 and their games. Who cares???

I'm probably one of Sony's biggest fans and supporters, and when I'm on a PS3 thread I want to talk about the game or console in question. I don't wanna hear "Doom for the 360, or this game kills anything on the 360" who cares. How about talking about what God of War 3 might look like when it releases, what changes can be expected now that new hands will work on the game.

I've been on this site since right before the PS3 launched and I remember how it used to be with Mart, PoG and the rest of the 360 fanboys, but since the PS3 has been picking up steam its the exact opposite and it was fine at first but DAMN!, sh!t has really hit the fan, and you got people like AlexM, Nasim(with his multiple accounts) and several others who spam a good PS3 thread with their crap.

A fanboy is a fanboy no matter who they support, I hate every single last one of them. Its like they literally have no life except to want to push their own gaming beliefs on the next person, kind've like Jack Thompson does with his crusade.

Plus, even though I am not a huge MS fan I do appreciate their participation in the console war, cause if it wasn't for them we would still be paying $600 dollars for a PS3 (Which I did at launch), Sony would be charging us for online service and they wouldn't be in a rush trying to do whatever they can to win over some more PS3 fans, cause quite frankly the Wii is a whole different market.

So yeah thats my reason for that comment. The industry is a big part of my life and this new trend of being a Nazi for said console and developer is pretty sad, it never was this bad back in the sNES/ genesis days.

P.S. its okay to direct the response to "kornbeaner", thats my tag (for certain reasons) and it would be stupid of me to get angry if somebody used it against me.

this game is going to be holy (love my titles) i can wait 4 this 1, i know their taking their time with this to make it good. mgs4 and haze is good enought 4 now, let alone GT5P and gta4 kinda over did it. but i still got motorstorm if i ever get board and need that extra thrill to wake me up.

Wasn't a key member of the team that made the first two games who said they started work on the game some time ago yet won't release till late 2009 at the earliest? Anyways we'll know about it during E3 - I'll be shocked if Sony didn't have a teaser trailer ready for it by then.

early 09 belongs to killzone 2 and final fantasy, and tekken(if it doesnt come this year)

then late 09 is socom, uncharted 2, god of war 3, twisted metal, etc......... going to be another HUGE year.

thank god sony has these amazing in house studios. i would hate to think what i company would be like with only third parties considering once those 3rd parties make multiplats, that company will no longer have exclusives for its system.........

Tekken might be a little push considering Soul Calibur, is due out June/July if it doesn't get delayed.

So I think 09 as you originally thought it out, would be more sensible.

I doubt it will be released on March 2. They haven't shown even a teaser trailer for GOW3. It is one of ps3 biggest game. But if you look at the trend God of War 1 & 2 were released in that window. But I am thinking this game will release in Fall 2009. Just to make the holiday season alot more kick ass. God of War 3 IS THE REASON, i bought a PS3.

Oh man!! This right here is like the single reason I own a PS3. I LOVE God Of War. GOW, GTA, Tekken were always my favorite PS exclusives. The story, the gameplay, god it's amazing. I was thinking back about DMC4 and some of the other games. and I was thinking about how AMAZING this one is going to be. Footage at E3? Pretty please with a cherry on top. :)

I'm not sure if God of War 3 will be released March 2009, but every other God of War game ( including the PSP God of War game) has been released in March, so I'm thinking that the developers are aiming for a same release time frame, but I think that God of War 3 wont come out until late 2009 at least.

God of War 2 came out in March 2007 and I really don't think that the developers can finish God of War 3 in exactly 2 years so that it can be released in March 2009 because it will be the first God of War game on the PS3. There hasn't even been any info on God of War 3 yet or a trailer.... but all of that info is most likely coming at E3 no doubt... but I guess that it is possible that God of War 3 could get an Official release date at E3, but we'll just have to wait and see.

But I think that God of War 3 wont come out until Summer 2009 at least. I just don't want God of War 3 to seem like a rushed game title and I think that the game needs at least 2 and a half years of development.
