DLC is your own speculation. You are only setting yourself up for disappointment. Rockstar has clued you in on extra missions. Msoft has told you its episodic content.

Personally if they plan to revisit San Andreas, i hope they do it as DLC. Next GTA sequel better be a new city and a new character. No miami no san andreas. Just do something new.

doubt its going to be anything more than some new missions and maybe a few new characters cars and stuff...

Rockstar said it would be releasing the 360 epesodes in mission packs...
kinda doesnt sound like a new city to me... especially when he said it would be in the same world...

Microsoft comfirmed it was episodic content on day one, that Rockstar "missions" quote is from an interview, and was taken out of context with no confirmation from ether Rockstar, or Microsoft. So untill there is official word from Rockstar or Microsoft, it stays confirmed as episodic content. Episodic content had never been denied by any party and has already been confirmed at E3 (by both) So try all you want sonarus but you can't spin this torward Sony in any way, it has nothing to do with them. This is an Xbox exclusive "episodic" DLC, and Sony isn't getting it, no matter how many fancy dance moves your try.

Sorry dude GTA IC episodic content is to the Xbox brand, as Gears of War, Halo, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, Forza, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, and Left 4 Dead is to the Xbox and PC. If you want those games, buy an expensive PC or buy an Xbox 360, because your not getting this on the PS3. Sorry dude, but untill MS or Rockstar say otherwise, it stays "episodic" no matter how jealous you get.

If it sold more on their console and didn't require a patch the week after to make multiplayer work correctly they would love GTA IV.

They were posting how "warmer colors" and "slightly less pop up" made their version superior but now... Now that its revealed to not be native HD, random load screen crashed due to a cache issue and weak third party hosted multiplayer server they pushing a campaign to discredit GTA IV and put it down.

Sour grape fairweather fans. Lame

GTA IV is the best open world game ever created and all open world games after will be judged against it. Get over it.

Just like I bought GTAIII: San Andreas and GTAIII:Vice City. they were expansions to GTAIII -- I could have just continued playing the "run and gun" fun in GTAIII without VC or SA, but I *also* play the missions.

That based on the $50m Microsoft forwarded to Take Two that indicates both parties believed at the time the DLC should see sales of approximately $150m. This is now wildly conservative given GTAIV sales numbers which have doubled analyst expectations, but based on a widely assumed DLC price of $15 and revenue of $150million that's 10million downloads, and given the DLC will be in two parts thats 5million individual downloads.

If you believe the $50 million was solely for DLC then I feel sorry for you. Or I feel sorry for MS, because they got ripped off. With that much money they could have funded a new game entirely. The more logical explanation is that that part of it went to DLC, and part of it went to more mundane things like exclusive marketing rights and minor developmental funding.

As far as the DLC goes, Lazlo, one of the producers of the game, stated that the DLC was new missions, new characters, and new weapons. The stuff about "new cities" was some websites wet dream that went beyond its pitiful confines. Now naive fanboys such as yourself cling to this rumor as fact.

Also, the term 'episodic content" is misleading. Each mission in GTA is one episode of a larger story. Why do you think every mission or mission set has a clever title? Because that is an episode. Going by that logic, why would episodic content all of a sudden by something radically different like a new city?

The original GTA had all three cities unlocked in the same order as they were released on the PS2. The first city is Liberty City in the original GTA followed by Vice City and then San Andreas. The decade's are different in the last gen GTA3 iterations (late 90's early 200's for GTA 3, 80s for Vice City and early 90's for San Andreas) In the original all the cities were based in the 90's. I cant wait for the new ones.

'style' being the key word there. I expected crap graphics based on my San Andreas experiences but am very impressed. still shots don't hold up well but I find the stylistic background-blurring and the lighting effects to be quite good in motion. almost like they knew their graphical limitations and just created a suitable style.
