Sony: LittleBigPlanet sales to beat GT5 Prologue

Sony has told GamesIndustry.biz that it expects forthcoming title LittleBigPlanet to achieve higher sales figures than Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Edition.

I hope so. Actually, I hoep LBP becomes one of the biggest hits of the year because it's a truly unique and innovative game and in a market filled with FPS Military Shooting games and sequels of Mario and others, LBP is like fresh air.

Also, aside from innovation and stuff, LittleBigPlanet is actually a superb game that DESERVES great sales and lots of attention.

So they want it to top 1.5million sales in Europe in its first month, its a big ask, but i think its more than capable of doing it. I'm getting it day 1 thats for sure.

It is a bit sad that its getting overlooked at the moment, but im sure that will change as we close in to release date

I think its very probable in Europe. Especially since its the full game and there will be an even bigger install base by then in Europe.

I estimate about 7-7.5mil in Europe.

Their sure to have an even lower priced 40 gig model and bundle it... I'm just hoping that sony start talking about BC by then...

ps. I've got 60 gb...but I was just thinking of buying it as a chrismas present for my little neice...

It would be hard to find someone who owns a ps3 that will not buy Little Big Planet. Everyone I have ever shown this game, completely flips out...

If Sony ever decides to do any marketing, this game might be something really special.
