I think MS has done enough to stay revelant this generation. They have built enough of a user base to ensure that 85% of all games will be on their system as well. Perharps the ps3's power will pull ahead of the 360 graphically but there is nothing that can't be done on ps3 that the 360 can't do. Additionaly the 360 is leading in revenue and it seems like it allways will lead in software sales. MS has realized they will never have the sales lead in consoles but they will possible make the most money off consoles this gen. I think they are happy where they are.

Kevin- I agree with most of what you said, however, I can almost guarantee that the PS3 just showed off a game that is incapabale of being made on the 360. It goes by the alias of KZ2.

I am not flaming one console or the other, however, in the 3rd year of its lifecycle the ps3 will have games like KZ2 and since this is the 3rd year for the 360, where are the games to match KZ2? The short answer is that the 360 simply cant pull off what the ps3 can.

and it didn't work. They didn't move hardware which is what counts for MS. R* made their money and bigups to them but it seems like, as someone else already said, MS would've sold the same amount w/o the exclusive DLC.

The PS2 crowd came out for PS3. That's what Sony wanted. Yeah MS sold more but there's more 360s out there.

From your statement about live i guess you don't have friends that you play with online as with the PSN as it stands its very difficult to meet up and play a game. Gta iv connection issues also point to there not being enough servers for the mass of gamers that want to play online. You get what you pay for.

The way the 360 is sold it gives the buyer the choice of what they want and need and therefore do not have to pay for things they will not use.

So far as far as gaming is concerned i cannot see the relevance or benefits of having a Br included. Call me old school but i dont mind getting off my arse to change a disc every 10hrs of gameplay for a video heavy rpg/adventure game.

Im sure there will come a time when it becomes necessary to have bigger storage but with Gta4 being placed on a DVD with 40 mill/4 years spent in development do you really think most games this gen are gonna need more space?

Also when you look at metacritic and the best games on your system are multiplatform (cod4,oblivion and Gtaiv) it says a lot.

No point in this it will fall on death ears. laters.

for a person that likes choice your seriously in denial about the 360. i like the way the 360 gives you the choice to buy overly expensive peripherals and accessories propietary to your console. i like the way MS gives you the choice to play online with your 60+ dollar games if you simply give them more money. no. if anything 360 gives you no freedom whatsoever. seriously, 120 gb PROPIETARY harddrive for only 180 bucks? when i could buy a 320 gb for my ps3 for only 150 and use it on my laptop if i deem i dont want in my ps3 anymore. what about wifi? i am not gonna tear a freaking hole in my wall or run cable across my living room to play a game online. so i like having the choice of buying another propietary 100 dollar wifi addon (when wireless cards for pcs cost only 30 bucks) for my console when the DS, PSP, PS3, and even the WII have a wifi included. yeah, MS knows how to treat the consumer. the only thing that is propietary in my console is the blu-ray. and dont call me a fanboy i own all 3 systems i am just tired of all the bullsh*t we gamers put up with that make companies like nintendo, microsoft, and sony get away with crap policies.

Of course their gonna need more space, go back 10 years and look at those games which were being made prob under a cpl gigs and go back 10 more and games were prob less than 500 megs...Hope you can do the math because games are and have been getting bigger with better engines to support better and higher quality models...Meaning theres gonna be a need for more space on CDS, wheres that gonna be, well on BR of course...

Microsoft didn't pour nearly as much money into HD-DVD as sony did blu-ray. They didn't have nearly as big a stake in it as you think. HD-DVD gave the biggest hit to toshiba, not microsoft.

On XMB, they aren't even similar. One is used simply for browsing. This I can do on a computer. There is no benefit to me browsing on a console over my computer other than the fact that it's more difficult and on a lower resolution screen (wait... did I say benefit?). When I'm on my console, I'm playing games.

In game XMB is for communicating, specifically while you are playing games. Easy tracking of friends, cross game chat, cross game messaging, and cross game invites are very important features for people that actually enjoy playing with their friends. If you think in game XMB is just a replacement for MSN/AIM, I can see why so many PS3 owners aren't up in arms yet.

GTA IV was multi-plat and is now pushing PS3 consoles way more in every region in the world even NA. 360 may have sold software, but this war won´t be battled on software but hardware, developers like having a bigger audience. Saying things like MGS and FF won´t rocket the PS3 sale´s make you sound even stupider than you have ever been.
Face the sad fact that we will have something other than episodic content to look forward to.

damn right xbox is dying... all they brag about is halo this halo that, i think halos for kids... and the dlc bs who needs dlc when you can have more fun killing other people online than doing extra chapters. reality is ps3 has bluray and xbox is still hd... how in the hell can xbox be the nex gen game console when they can only store about 15gigs to 30gbs dual layred with a small @ss hdd. bluray can take up to 50+gigs and ps3 has 40-80gbs and the hdd is upgradable and is not restricted to a specific hdd like ms 360 has.

Talk about naive. The POS3 has been out for over a year now and is simply not doing great. So BD won, big deal. Their infrastructure, catalog and roadmap are failing. Keep this is mind, with all of the RROD issues with the 360, Phony is losing to what you Phony folks call a gimpy gaming console. There's a lot to that and it shows that the 360 is a very desired and marketable product, especially considering how hated MS is.

And the "Last Shot" that this Phony tool is talking about shouldn't be taken out of context. He's talking about Take Two.

Yes, MS delivers alright...but somehow they delivered the RROD as well. Believe me, I want to support MS as well, but that inexcusable failure rate keeps me back. And yes, MS wants to take down Sony. They don't need to claim they want to take down Sony-they do it through their actions. Why do you think they're spending so much money? They spent 50mil on DLC, spent over 200+mil on some place in China, and they're coming up with a system that has a new chip.

I'm sorry but MS doesn't know Sony very well. You think that MS can take away from Sony THAT easily? They have may have taken a few exclusives with bribery and cheap tactics but they can't pull people away from the Sony brand. And once those exclusive games come out and they play as well as they look...well all I can say is 'let the good times roll'.

So no, they have not taken away from Sony that easily. Sony still has some tricks up their sleeves. I would also suspect that MS has tricks of their own as well, but the question is...can they keep up with the experts?

And MS has been boasting, boasting, AND boasting about how Sony is finished. MGS4 is coming Jun 12th, in case you haven't noticed and the game is lookin' mighty fine if I might add. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed with Sony from since 2007 and was seconds away from getting a 360 instead. But from since then, Sony has turned around. Good things come to people who wait. Perhaps if MS had taken their time with their console, I would have chosen that over a PS3 and then get the PS3 later. But now, it's PS3 all the way for me.

You can say whatever you want, spin this however you want but Sony is going to win the console war. There might have been delays and disappointments but in the end Sony's going to deliver.

And it just crushed the 360 in Europe.
