This game is looking very good. The MGO beta is a lot of fun. Although GTA4 have taken me away from it for now, but just can't wait for this game.

Its an early review plus its from PS mag so a 9.5 minimum is expected. Wouldn't rule out a 10 either since those are meaningless now

Exclusive reviews released a month before the actual game is released is such a ludicrous concept. I have a subscription, so I guess I'll be reading it. Unfortunately, my mag arrives about two weeks after hitting the stands, so I probably won't even get it before MGS4 comes out anyway.

Whatever near perfect score MGS4 receives, my anticipation for the game will be completely unaffected.

Actually, the Playstation Official Magazine (OPM doesn't exist anymore) doesn't give out any numbers at all.

they use a Star system that is broken in to halves. So, the game would probably rated a 4-1/2 stars or something

I'm a complete MGS fanboy. I have been anticipating this game for 3yrs constantly let down with its shifting release dates. From the other games i have watched get undeserved 10's i fully expect MGS4 to enjoy the same fate. In my eyes the game better be perfect

What people have not seen yet may surprise them. I think we will discover with the review that the game is huge providing a ton of features and gameplay. It takes more than sound and textures to fill up 50GB.

Mainman...I have heard that before. That is kind of stupid though, how can you give an accurate review if it's not the retail version. The same thing happened with Lost Odyssey, the reviews kept saying how horrible the frame rates were and how long the load times were but the final version did not have those problems.

I think reviewers are spoiling the hype of games.

I remember early on when they said reviews didn't matter(since certain gamers weren't getting scores some felt like they deserved) since it's much, all opinion, now we wait for them like NPD numbers.

It's MGS for god sakes. Who cares what number they give it, I still won't read the review, especially this early out. I want to experience MGS4 without any spoilers so this will be one review I will pass on.

I hope my wrist is fine by the time it hits. This is, without a shadow of doubt, my most anticipated game and that is very rare since I never wanted a game so much before. >.<

But i will be expecting scores between the 9-10 category. Excellent gameplay, superb story-telling and great characters will deserve no less. By far my facvorite franchise. MG3 was my favorite of them all. Final battle was great and that song which they played at the end was excellent. I'm sure people will be pissed if it scores lower than 10 but hey, sometimes that's how things go. I know reviews are not going to stop me from playig it so I know it won't for y'all. Hopefully Kojima may do a different series and maybe continue it with a new character but not call it Metal Gear Solid but metal gear something. Franchise is to good. If resident evil can continue for all of these year darn it kojima so can metal gear. Anyways on a different note, i've played GTA4 and a very good game. I know i'm here setting up myself for a bashing but does anyone think that it did not deserve all of the 10 it receieved? Surely in the category of 9-10 but mostly all 10? But like I said it's a great game which I do enjoy so if y'all wanna play then add me. My psn id:piedpiper85

ps i have played all the mgs games but it all began with mgs1 original on the psx.

this game better deliver. Since gta4, lot of people questioning the power of the cell. Do or die for sony. I know its under 720p but it will be amazing. Main reason i bought the ps3. Still can't believe how much i like the 360 still.

50,000 XBOX 360 units have died. GTA IV performs better on the PS3. I can't believe other XBOTS let you in the XBOT/pedophile club with statements like... "Still can't believe how much i like the 360 still."
