I find that in online games, people tend not to use headsets. I don't know what it is: in warhawk, the voice chat is rubbish (for me) and you can only hear garbled noise through it. In COD4 online for PC absolutely NO ONE uses voice chat, and only a tiny fraction of players use text chat! I hope this trend is reversed in MGO.

as awesome as this is. i think a 40 dollar price point would have sold a lol more. 60 buckaroos is a little too much for me. i'll stick to my plantronics for now. until the socom mic comes out. i think that mic looks sweet as well.

The problem is they offer a great service, there online pre-orders always come a day earlier, and on the high street they are the only store which you know will have the game you want in stock. Thats the experience i've had with them anyway

...up to using Bluetooth headsets?

Mine never automatically connects when I switch both the headset and PS3 on and if it disconnects for some reason during a game I have to quit out and do a reconnect. Also, is it so damned hard to get a 'mute' button on a headset???

Sorry, but was given a Mad Catz bluetooth headset. Biggest pile of rubbish ever!

The Mad Catz one sucks balls. This one has an auto sync function, so when you turn on your PS3 and headset, the headset automatically connects to the PS3.

...cheers. I will look at the headset you mentioned. I agree completely that Mad Catz sucks big hairy dogs balls but it was given as a gift by my wife.

...how many times must I tell her she should never buy me anything electronic....grrrrrrr!!!!! If it was left to her I'd be playing a Wii on a 4:3 TV using standard composite cables!!!!

This headset is coming to the U.S. too. It's already listed on Gamestop for $59.99.

I'm thinking about getting the MGS4 headset to go along with MGS4 and as a Collectors item. The price for the headset is a little steep considering the fact that you can buy a PS3 game by the time you get the headset, but this headset is one of a kind and it stands out from what everyone else has and it's not like they are going to be around forever either because I'm thinking that they will be a Limited Offer just like the Gunmetal PS3 MGS4 bundle.
