There was more people that were going to be participating in the beta then they anticipated. First there were issues at id.konami.net and now this.
Hope this issue is resolved ASAP.

BTW, Sony has NOTHING to do with this. People shouldn't blame the PSN because they are getting errors. This beta, the problems with ids, errors should be blamed on Konami if anything. This was the way they wanted it to be. Deal with it.

However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the start of the US public beta test until we are able to stabilize our server.
We would like to apologize for all inconveniences as well as confusion caused.

We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Starting date: TBA. We will be making another announcement on 22/4/2008 23:00(PDT)
2) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 11/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 06/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)

What the hell? If you don't have the servers to run the public beta at such a large why did you let, users download it on the first place. I have been trying for an hour now, just came to check what was the issue, and this is bullshit, i am soo pissed off right now. I took a day off from uni just to play the beta and this is what we get. The only thing I hate about Japanese companies is that they are bunch of hypocrites. Always Japan first. What the hell, if you don't like countries other than japan then don't bring your games here.

-First you can't get your website server running for everyone to even sign up.

-Then you "Take down the game server", because they can't handle the capacity of all the players.

I hope they get their act together.

Betas are to test games and make sure everything works, so as long as they get everything working good before MGO is released I would say it was a success.

Still I do think a lot of people were looking forward to this as a chance to play MGO early.

I deleted it tho since I was getting bombarded with "duplicate story" reports. Now that I read this one and has babel fish as a source of translation? wow. Not to mention the grammar and continuous periods.

I understand this is hot news and everyone needs to know. At least take the time to make sure the submission is well written and revised properly for approval.

It appears Konami's Japanese website was updated and here in Japan were having trouble with connection issues as you are all aware. Due to the nature of this error. Service of the beta will be shut down temporarily for maintenance and repair. Konami obviously did not expect this much anticipation and demand for the premier of the MGO Beta.

Stay tuned for more upcoming info and translations.

Heres is the message translated:

I don't know what they were thinking probably trying to run the Game ID website, the beta and the patch servers all from a single pentium 2 computer.

They asked for it, they're going to get alot of hate for it, and they deserve it.

Konami deserves a backlash, why did they have to be retards and prove that the japanese know nothing about online games and just give the damn job to Sony.
