Rumor: Uncharted 2 to take place in India?

It turns out that the 'Strange Relic' treasure from Uncharted is actually a Precursor Orb from the Jak & Daxter universe. The orb has some unique markings on it that, when translated, say "Naughty Dog" and "Manmad".

A quick Google search will teach you that Manmad is a city in India, so perhaps that's where the next game will take place.

I agree Sonarus.

Anyone else realise on something circular like an egg, it could just as easily be Mad Man. Which could be an equally obscure thing, or a hint at how much time the guy wasted by decoding it.

Naughty Dog like stuff like that, in Uncharted there was tombstones that joked in Spanish that if you translated it you had too much time. Or something.

If you ever get one, play Uncharted 1 first... even if the sequel it's already out..

It's just an awesome game and you will be able to keep up with the story(a great movie-like story I might add)...

naughty dog put a sentence on a grave stone in spanish, it read "if your reading this you have no life" they love doing stuff like that.
SO, this is either
A) something they put together then sat back and laughed wondering how long it would take somebody to jump to this very conclusion
B) just another basic way of wording themselfs as "mad men" i mean when you look at "naughty dog" its very possible, manmad doesnt seem so out of reach now.

oh and it would be tottaly ironic if it was in india but what i said was still true

i loved uncharted to bits ...i even finished it on "crushing" which is super hard....anyway...india would be cool ....so would be any other exotic place so long as they inject more platforming and exploring this time round a la tombraider

Too much political correctness and not much common sense is being practised nowadays, real pity for all those people. And you can't really argue with their kind, it's totally and utterly futile.
Just because this and that would make the game racists' or something else bugs them would offend somebody else and entirely change the story and make a big deal out of it.

It's probably going to be India. One of the screenshots in the latest batch at NeoGAF is of a battle in a street with a sign board written in Hindi (or possibly Marathi) on the left. Also, the street's as messy as a city in Nasik ought to be. And the coloured paper streamers strung from the building windows is a nice authentic touch!
