man i just want updates really like it use to be every month so the ps3 can get better each time whether its making the online work smoother or adding something to the ps3 and Home let it come whenever it needs to and the in-game xmb too not really wanting those right now (but i want them) the last recent updates are the sh!t love them can't wait in till the next one

HOME can come with a firmware but it doesn't necessary have to be included in the firmware, it is purely optional, those who don't like fancy stuff can save some space on their HDD

and since beta testers are already running home on their PS3, i am guessing HOME will be made available as a seperate download instead of necessary download with the firmware

Home isn't going to require a download. The PS3 already has what it needs in it's end. It's only a network addition that Sony has to put in place.

we were suppose to get home in october, i wanted it so bad and then, its delayed

i never understood why there isnt an open beta where anyone can participate. if some people have it why can't others? The products not finsihed but id be better if everybody reported bugs instead of less amount of people

when it does finally release the servers will probably crash lol, everyone with a ps3 logs in at the exact same time.

It's good to know it's not coming. To many people get up their hopes only to have them crashed afterwards. I could only imagine how many people would be complaining if they had said nothing and then it not show up.

Home is coming when we least expect it! On the day of the week that ends with "Y"!

The speculation is making the wait worse. Until Sony says something as far as I'm concerned its not coming for a long time.

Yup I'm beginning to think that too. If home was a service that came _with_ the PS3, then it might be something to brag about, but here we are, 6 (or is it 7?) months after it was supposed to be released, and we are still not even at the open beta stage. I would be very surprised if we see the full realease of home before Q4 this year. And let's face it: most people aren't going to be _too_ interested in a beta, after all, it's buggy and not feature complete. What's more, they've only just started to add the features into home that people really want, like game launching. And it seems as though devs will have to actually implement something so that you can do that with their game. And because home has been endlessly delayed, I don't think that most devs will have bothered, meaning, that you will only be able to launch into a very limited selection of games from home when it first launches. Same goes for trophies. In all honesty, all I really want as a service is voice chat THAT ACTUALLY WORKS and a way to always be able to contact my friends and then launch into ANY game with them. I don't need some lame 3d world where I can buy clothes for a fee but I CAN'T launch into most games with my friends.

i couldnt have said it any better. i just want to be able to have a unified friends list, the ability to lauch a game with friends and also be able to chat to my friends without having to quit my game. if i had those features HOME would be worthless to me. my patience is wearing thin. everytime sony does not release home the hype grows stronger i fear that when home does luanch 1 either ppl lose intrest and it fails or ppl look for all the bugs and complain about it till they scrap the whole thing. either way it doesnt live up to its hype

After E3 you'll be posting on N4G how its coming March 09 like everyone said last year after E3.

I really believe they're scared to release it because the PSN infastructure can't handle the volume. If they release it and its laggy and crashs it will be a MASSIVE hit to PS3.

I'd be suprised if its out by this Christmas.

Home is Sony's Duke Nukem Forever. Vaporware.

As for "Microsuck" releasing incomplete products... At least they release SOMETHING. With Sony all you got is millions of Sony fanboys speculating... ITS COMING IN JULY. ITS COMING AFTER E3. They're all praying and Sony is ignoring you all.
