PS3 Condemned 2 Riddled With Sound Bugs

News from owners of Sega's bum-bashing (as in homeless folks, not anything else you dirty minded person) Condemned 2 are discovering that their PS3 iterations of the game are coming complete with a really bloody irritating bug.

It transpires that the sound is dropping out every 30 seconds or so, not exactly helping with the suspense of slowly meandering your way through those dark and dreary levels.

Negative news for certain brand of console are not welcome around here and thus they get censored out by a "certain" members of this site. It's quite sad actually.

I didn't had any sound issues neither, it's funny, maybe it's with some PS3?

3 - This is unacceptible...
What is wrong with companies rushing out buggy games lately? These companies need to start doing their job right.

3.2 - wicked raises a good question
There have been more than just a few games with bugs like framerate issues, sound, and jaggies. If it was just a couple here and there that would be ok, but the list of buggy games is getting longer for multiplatform games.

well the simple answer is because we keep buying them. The publishers need their money invested back as fast as possible and by the given time.

The devs know they can sell it and just patch it latter, job done ! it will still sell because we are fools and suckers for a crappy game that needs patching up.

it makes the game feel more.....Alive.. when every other month you are downloading patches and new " guns ". it gives you a reason to go back to it and show it some more love....

sorry, i wish there was more we could do about it, but i think until we stop buying these crap games the devs just wont get the message.

I rented it from Blockbuster (Wednesday) and I haven't encountered any sound bugs or any type of graphical glitches.

At least none that I can notice.

8 - Does this happen from the beginning of the game?
I bought the game for the PS3, I've only played it a couple times so far, but I've yet to notice any bugs, especially not this one.

the demo had bugs... but i just bought it 2 times (one for me and one for my bro for a bday gift)

and both consoles an 80Gb and my 60Gb.... 0.0 problems.

WHen i played the demo i noticed some weird glitches, but the full game runs beautifully.

lol better than the F.E.A.R. port

13 - Makes me glad I own the "not buggy" 360 version.
What kind of sound bugs? Is it like hitting a bum in the head with a brick, then the sound of it comes 3sec late like a badly dubbed kung fu movie?

oh man i hate it when that sh!t happens

some guy just says something really cool, but he's actually eating a sandwich or something

but no it's not the case here- it's just that APPARENTLY there is a loss of sound every now and again

which is weird because not one review mentioned it- this really sounds like your run-of-the-mill internet bullsh!t

or perhaps some kid gets kicked in the face every 30 seconds by his sibling, and is under the impression that condemned is teh broken on PS3 lol

I think this might just be related to 5.1 systems. I have my PS3 connected to my Onkyo receiver thru an optical cable. If you're playing just using your monitors speakers you might not encounter this issue. But I sure do and it's annoying!

15 - This has got to stop
I'm getting so tired of PS3 versions of games being bugged with problems. Sony needs to put their foot down and stop allowing game publishers to make crappy games for the PS3.

I am experiencing these bugs. They are true. I have 5.1 /optical. It is more annoying than the tar people. The game itself is not bad, but these losses are so annoying.
BTW, multiplayer aint that bad!

I've got the popping issue on my system. I have a 60 GB PS3. I run an HDMI cable from PS3 to Onkyo receiver and from Onkyo receiver to TV. Never had issues with any other games/movies.

Yeah, I actually encountered this annoying problem in the demo. I used hdmi for video and optical out into my 7.1 surround system. I hoped they fixed it for the release... but I suppose not.

23 - Toslink and Coax VS. Analog
It makes sense to me if it's only over the toslink optical input to HT receivers. Instead of a continuous analog signal which will still send a signal when no sounds are being played, an optical signal basically turns off. When it finally receives an audio signal again there's lag and will cause on/off stutter (on some receivers). Mine does this with my soundcard output from my HTPC and it's annoying as hell...

Anybody using digital coax(orange RCA) having the same problem??? (you should if my hunch is correct). Analog setups should be completely unaffected.

If that IS the case a patch should be able to fix it no prob... just have the game maintain a null? output (blank bitstream).

I don't have any sound bugs on mine either.Someone ps3 might be buggered but they should get alot more proof before these get approved.
