PSU Exclusive: New Wardevil details and screenshot

As an early Easter present the Digi-Guys sent us the first Wardevil poster of a series that will be released periodically throughout 2008.

According to the developers over at Digi-Guys, the Wardevil: Unleash the Beast Within posters will start to develop some of the style and mood that'll be a part of the game. For those of you who don't know already, Wardevil is a PS3 exclusive and is set to hit sometime near the end of 2008 or possibly early 2009.

The game will feature an all new game engine called, RTE1080, which allows for 60fps animations and 1080p resolutions. As you may have seen in our last screenshot update, the game also features high resolution textures.

Why do you have to remind of how horrible the main character looks now? I'm so pissed now that they've changed his appearance. He used to look ba-dass. Now he just looks ba-duh. Get rid of the "half the size as his former head" helmet and the frickin walking stick and just give him his two pistols. My god, why?!

as of right now it is 100% exclusive to ps3. Either, sony paid or it can't be done on 360 or a combination of both. Prob a combination of both. Blu ray is said to play a major role as well

has definately got my attention. But without seeing any actual gameplay I don't have any opinion on it. I think it's great they are going to tease everyone for a whole year with poster's(not) but let's see some real gameplay.

I take it this will be utilizing Blu-ray by putting CGI movies all in the game. I remember when this was announced as multiplatform and then they cancelled the 360 version to focus on the PS3. I am really looking at this game as the first 360 loss due to it's technical restraints. So I am curious as to how it is going to turn out.

The pictures of this guy with his staff have a striking resemblence to Too Human.. Makes me wonder what kind of game this will be.

About six weeks ago they released the first concept art/screenshot which depicted the new design (w/helmet). Looks hot. I don't think anyone then or now will compare it to Master Chief. Kind of reminds me more of Kroenen from the Hellboy comics somehow.

this game turns out good. 1080p/60fps and graphics which you can't tell apart from CGI does say a lot but im still waiting for some new gameplay cause i've only seen 2 year old gameplay vids. Does however mean that this game has been in development for like 3 years? What might look good on paper doesn't have to look good in the end so im still skeptical. Hoping for the best though!

Let me know the next time they give a GOTY award based on 1080p and 60fps or for effective use of the SPU's..

Until then the real gamers will be playing more GOTY contenders on the 360.

And this game looks to be 2009, especially when we have seen 1 bit of actual gameplay, it's been screenshots and now they are releasing posters throughout 2008(yay!).
