I agree with you, but Motorstorm 2 isnt coming so FAST as you expected...the game will be launched by the end of the year, so there will be a 2 year span between the #1 and #2 Motorstorm!

5.1 - It is kinda amazing
that a 3rd party like insomniac can make two Great FPS games before Gurilla can release one that they have been making for years now.

I hope it comes out soon, and i think it will be all of the sudden. Like they will set a date and we will all be like WTF! i hope so anyway, cause this is going to be one helluva year.

Makes sense, no better strategy by Sony to confirm their impending dominance over the competition than to have a steady stream of anticipated news released regularly.

Though I thought it was an excellent game, and a launch title none the less I would have to say that the media didn't give it the credit it deserved just like many of the PS3's new IPs released during it's launch (i.e. Resistance, Heavenly Sword). I am sure we are poised for something great with this one.

Awesome news. Original MotorStorm was a superb game and it's only problems were lack of splitscreens and enough maps but the sequel seems to be perfect in every way. Can't wait. My fave racer of 2007 is getting it's sequel.

If motorstorm had splitscreen I'd play it way more. As it is, it's not that fun to play against AI and I'm not good enough to play online!
One thing that they need to change this time around is the loading times. They were fairly shocking some of the time.

So true. This game and DiRT has some seriously long and stupid load times. Hopefully MotorStorm 2 indeed uses the 2D system that Lord_Ash mentioned or a completely different and revamped system. If they learn from mistakes of first game and fix them for MotorStorm 2, it will be a killer arcade racer and big competition for Burnout Paradise.

That even if the loading time were long, I sometime enjoyed the fact that I could take a small break between races. Yes, I'm still holding my controller too hard, particularly when under stress : ) Had to get the blood circulating again : )

To address the Loading. they had a few texture pop ups and such but it ran buttery smooth.

So this game will be revealed like This wed at 7pm with videos wow... i've heard it's now looking alot like GT5 with graphics in the form of hyper realistic, with exotic tropical locals...

Tropical mud... this should be amazing with 4 player split screen and more maps and online. this such be great, more racing modes YES

Motorstorm is actually an exceptional arcarde racer..... what really killed me was there was a lack of split screen.

Further more I wish Motorstomr 2 will allow you to choose specific tracks you want to play with the choice of choosing the different types of ai. and vehicles.

what they've come up with. I'm sure they've made improvements just like insomniac and such. I can't wait to see the physics and crashes and movement. The game was always beautiful but, it really shined when in motion and completely up in the mix with the other cars.

With splitscreen, this game will join my collection. The lack of value had me trade-in the first Motorstorm. It was just so lacking in content. I always felt multiplayer would be king on that game, and now the sequel has it! Day one purchase!

Worst game I ever bought, no split screen (they were saying they would most likely patch it...never happened), horrible loading times, and so little maps its not even funny, than instead of fixing an unfinished game they release content (that should have been there in the first place) at a permium price. NO thank you.
