This is a common sense situation. The first game was VERY successful. There is no way that, there wont be a sequel. Ubisoft should just make sure to fix their games before releasing them.

1.1 - A... gree
Anyone who played the first one should have expected a sequel. As mixed as the reviews were, one constant in almost all of them was the fact that a sequel would probably be amazing.

There were a few bugs/issues with the game, but this game is so close to being awesome with a few new features and tweaks it would have probably been AAA.

Better combat and more Assassinations than side missions would have made this game a knockout. Of course, the survey did say something about co-op, which would be pretty intense. Mayhaps competitive assassinating (race to the target)?

The day the game surpassed the 1million mark and knowing Ubi the sequel was almost guaranteed -_-

3 - Sequel is inevitable, the devs said it would be part of a series.
They defenitley have to fix up the game. It was kinda buggy and it was extremely repetitive. I wasn't a bad game, but the side missions seemed unimportant. A sequel would truly be awesome, considering they would fix it. The game will probably continue in a different time period; mabey another Ancestor of Desmond's but with similar mechanics as Alair from the first.

Yeah agree nothing really new here. But it's nice that they are getting opinions on what fans would like to see. How about more varied dialog and missions?

I thought the game was solid. I won't go as far as saying a great game, but I think they can be pretty close to it if they address some issues. I posted this recently on a forum on areas I thought would make this a homerun title in subsequent sequels:

I'd like the houses to have doors you can open. Find various objects (more knives for instance) within the houses, maybe some bonus items. You can duck into a house while being chased and watch the guards run by from a window. Have a minor subassassination within the house. Chase the guy upstairs and find him in a room, plant the knife... no one is the wiser.

Make the wells enterable. Use the wells as a subtunnel system throughout the city for quick access to various parts. Even have guards chase you into the wells.

Ability to mix up poisons and various potions/bombs. Poison tip your blade for a one hit kill or use a homemade bomb. How about adding an ointment to your blade that confuses the guard and makes him attack his buddies ala Haze?

More variety in the assassination. Maybe chase him through a cave or an underground temple or within a royal palace. Something totally different from just set pieces in the city.

Ability to lay traps. Setup a trip wire that you can use during your escape or some type of rope mechanism you pull. This would be hard in a bustling city, but would work better in a deserted area.

A jail break: I'd like to see Altair get captured and some puzzle solving to break out of the jail with some fighting along the way. Mix it up.

Puzzle solving elements: How do you get across an area, maybe swing a rope that moves a platform. Plant a knife that drops a bridge, etc., position a cart to give you a place to climb, etc.

Lose the beggars in the streets... blech

Give me more incentive to explore the city other than flags. Easter eggs on some of the buildings would be neat. Objects that can actually help me would be nice. Maybe you bump into a guy on his roof that will offer you his house as a safe house once you meet him, or he has some elaborate tunnel under his floor he will allow you to use.

Mix the city up more. The city looked great, but got repetitive after a while. More interesting buildings and make each city totally different. I don't necessarily need authentic replicas to the actual city, want something fun.

Add the element of money to the system: Bribes, buy equipment, etc.

All those things you said are great but first... get him to swim!!!! Than you can do all those things.

Ridiculous how that Ninja Style Assassin can't swim.

Anyways, I liked the game, just think it was a little too repetitive.
Adding some of the things you said would be gread, example: Breaking into houses, more items... etc...

From what I've played so far in my copy it's not so hot because it's too repetitive. By that I mean it's like you're doing the same thing over and over again. The glitches aren't necessary especially for a "Next Generation" video game. I wish you could have other weapons in the game like one you could just pick up off the ground and such. I will have to finish playing the game to go on, but that's all for now. Maybe the second one won't be a let down mwuhahahah!

Game was decent. Like GTA, you play until you get bored, most likely not beat the game (some people do I know).

But next thing you know, this guy is going to tell us our poop still stinks, and his is still brown.

It was blatantly going to have a sequel.

The ending practically told us that. I actually like the story's potential

A bit of Matrix mixed in with DaVinci Code

10 - AC
The first one was VERY similar to Crackdown. Get on top of the buildings, find where the guy is you have to take out, then take him out. The problem is, Crackdown was fun. The battle system and the building-to-building system felt integrated... you jumped, you shot your rocket launcher, you did all this in an aerial display that was quite remarkable.

The difference between AC's rooftop freedom and the actual assassination of your mark (the long, drawn out sword battles getting more and more difficult near the end) was simply jarring. I want to leap from the rooftop and swing down and take the guy out, not have to get into a long battle with him and his henchmen.

So basically, I found AC = Crackdown - fun.
