Insomniac: Edumacation Matters

Insomniac has decided to step up to the plate, and start teaching developers how to properly program for the ps3. Insomniac has already been known for its great games for the ps3, and is also the makers of Resistence 1 and 2. Lets hope with Insomniacs help, EA will finally be able to make a decent game, witout asking Sony "Why does that matter?".

2 - Good News....
Sony obviously pushed the envelope when designing the PS3, and the first year they really paid the price for this. Its good to hear them taking a proactive approach to reaching out to other developers.
I believe that this will be the new pattern for console companies to take as making games becomes more complicated.
What can be said about Insomniac? Sony is lucky to have them on board, and should do anything they want to make sure it stays that way.

If I were MS and Nintendo, I would be more concerned about Sony's low key approach to this years GDC, that usually means that there is something big brewing.

good to see Insomniac sharing the wealth and knowledge with other devs. who better to learn from than the team that pumps out great games on a yearly basis. these guys don't sleep or something (pardon pun)

It was good, but not the greatest. I bought this game with my PS3, and will probably get the second game aswell.

Back on topic, it's great to hear that they want to help others make their game the best they can be. Hopefully they don't get bashed by other companies for helping.

I love insomniac and I hope they help others create their visions fully. I think insomniac has a lot of good, creative, nongreedy people on their team. a lot of people could learn from them i think(ea)... I think Insomniac's team knows how to have fun and make great games. They dont have to worry about money because it is guaranteed to flow to them.

Exactly.

They make it seem as if creating games is the best thing in the world...which is what it SHOULD BE!!!

They pour their hearts and souls into these games...and have to put up with a 7.5 from some crappy hasbeen newsight...and yet...they maintain a humor about it.

I tip my sixaxis to these good developers...

I would sacrifice the lives of many developers to keep Ted Price's brain alive and well...

Insomniac is one of the greatest developers today...and they should be recognized as such. They're fun, productive, innovative, and just freakin' awesome people. I honestly think they should be involved in making the next Playstation.

when was the last time you heard of such news. That was a pure gamer's choice to go in and make sure that they help stop the flow of mediocre games coming out. That it's not all about rushed out games and consoles and quick money, but its also about making sure that every gamer, no matter what games we're playing, that we're getting our money's worth. and in the end, I trully think that it takes a true gamer to go past the domination, past the money, past the current way of things, to innovate and not just stick to "generation old" recipes. Amen to that brother...... Just think if sony opened up their development tools, aside from phyre, to everyone. That would be an open invitation to all developers to make their products on the ps3. Im actually glad that the ps3 is kind of hard to dev for, it not only forces innovation and better coding but it scares away companies that only wish to make shovel ware to bolster short term profits. Just look at the wii and the larger chunk of crappy games on the 360. I think we all remember the sheer amount of junk we had to wade through on the ps2.
