ImageMetrics Facial Animation Tapped For UT3, GTA IV

Animation software company Image Metrics has revealed that its proprietary facial animation solution was used to animate characters in games including 2K Games' Top Spin 3, Epic's Unreal Tournament 3, and Rockstar's Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV.

The company says its animation solution animates faces without the need for markers or makeup, and is able to translate human movement onto the faces of game characters.

10 - Do you remember?
Remember Drunna?

If they can revive and re-make another Drunna game ( from Paolo E. Serpieri ) using this technology with the added advancement of CGI and a total re-thinking for a better storyline, could make this a better cult-game.

I don't own the game version, but have a few of his most infamous Drunna heroine on books and HeavyMetal magazines ( comments that I'ved read were that it was totally bad and did the character a lot of injustice ).

A good benchmark could be the Silent Hill series game - as both have the same type of totally creepy creatures, similar background look, same paranoia experience.

They can make ( 2 ) versions, an uncencored one - only for download on the net, the other a matured ( tamer ) version - in disc format. Followers of the series would know why it has to be done this way.

Hope it happens. Would'nt even mind working on this game if somebody gives it another try.
