No multiplayer for Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2 lead designer Peter Johansson has revealed that the game will launch without multiplayer.

Instead, Avalanche Studios will focus on offering the best single-player experience it can and think about adding the ability to shoot your friends in the future.

if they are serious about making the best single player experience they would need to be making it exclusivly for the PS3.

No it didn't and it was just fine without it. It seems that the problems with the first game will be rectified in the sequel, if so then screw multiplayer.

Personally this is good news.

Im happy to see a developer still give their all to single player. I think to much focus has been put into multi-player now.

9 - I was disappointed with the first Just Cause...
Felt less than complete to me. So having them focus in on the single player is fine by me. Make the game great and I am fine with a single player only. I mean Bioshock had no multiplayer and it was a fantastic game. So multiplayer isnt necessarily needed for every game out there.

No one noticed my report eh? The same stuff was already said in an interview that's already been posted here on N4G. In that interview Peter Johansson from Avalanche explains all the reasons to why JC2 has no multiplayer. I can only agree with him. Not all games are better off with multiplayer and online modes. There are enough of them out there to choose from already.
