Well sort of. It's a lot like Super Stardust HD where one joystick controls where you go and the other controls where you shoot. That's where the similarities end. You play on a 2D screen and each level is timed to a 'song' and the goal is to finish the song while getting as many points as possible through chaining. During play the sound FX that occur during the game are guitar riffs in the same key as the song, so while you play you basically jam out to the background music. Each level has a different way to chain and different music and as you get better at the game you can 'buy' extras w/ the points from previous games, but at the same time the more stuff you 'buy' makes the game harder. Overall it's a really stellar game that is totally worth the $10 for a DL.

This game is sooo fun, and really challenging, but it's not enough to pull me away from Super Stardust.
